Well, just when I get so darn frustrated with what has happened to "justice" in the world, I get another chance to try and see some.

My attorney wanted me to go get the DA package for Child Support Enforcement and fill it out, so I finally did that yesterday. It was kind of interesting... basically, I guess they get paid from ex, then pay me. I can get child support, back unreimbursed medicals expenses, and they will review support numbers. Since I had to stipulate to a much higher income than I actually have to settle the divorce, I am hoping that the numbers get corrected.

Custody and visitation sheets. It worked out that last year ex had 0.0017% visitation time alloted to him, so far nothing at all this year.

A little further into the paperwork it asked about ex's background, had he ever been arrested. I honestly said YES, what for, Child Endangerment in 88 or 89. Goes into sheets of support payments ordered and paid, plus all other sorts of monies that were ordered and due. he's paid support for the most part, have had a lot of trouble with medical reimbursements.

Then, the clincher. Was there ever a restraining order or stay away order done and was there abuse? It asked for specifics, so I got to include court minutes, CPS reports, police report numbers, Victims of Crime Compensation reports, and the kids declarations of what the specifically remembered about abuse, plus an adult witness' declaration that CPS never talked to.

I stayed up until 3:45 am copying paperwork and gettting this file done. It was horrible having to reread all the divorce paperwork to find the specific orders and all, but it is done and currently back in it's box waiting to be filed away in storage! Not getting my hopes up much, after 2.5 years I couldn't expect much of anything, but it gave me a good feeling to know I was doing what needed to be done for my kids.

I know I won't get support if he goes to jail, but at the same time, I think him being held accountable for damaging my children may start their healing finally.

Will let you know if anything happens.

If it works anything like it does in my state, the employer takes it out of the check and sends it to the county
