does ANYONE have any idea whether you can file your own divorce in the State of Alabama? Any advice/experiences will be greatly appreciated.

I don't know the answer to your question but I would advise against doing so. I think you might want the practical knowledge and experience of an attorney. You don't want to do it all wrong and have to live with the consequences.
