Everytime I hear it, it just makes me laugh and puts me in a good mood...is that weird? I think it's because some how it reminds me of going through a divorce...you kind of question your sanity at times. I think I could have used this song back then...

Matchbox 20
Unwell

All day staring at the ceiling
Making friends with shadows on my wall
All night hearing voices telling me
That I should get some sleep
Because tomorrow might be good for something

Hold on
Feeling like I'm headed for a breakdown
And I don't know why

[Chorus]

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be...me

I'm talking to myself in public
Dodging glances on the train
And I know, I know they've all been talking about me
I can hear them whisper
And it makes me think there must be something wrong with me
Out of all the hours thinking
Somehow I've lost my mind

[Chorus]

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be

I've been talking in my sleep
Pretty soon they'll come to get me
Yeah, they're taking me away

[Chorus]

But I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell
I know right now you can't tell
But stay awhile and maybe then you'll see
A different side of me
I'm not crazy, I'm just a little impaired
I know right now you don't care
But soon enough you're gonna think of me
And how I used to be

Yeah, how I used to be
How I used to be
Well, I'm just a little unwell
How I used to be
How I used to be
I'm just a little unwell

Has anyone heard this song?

Totally understand it. I like that song too. My new song that describes my life, impending divorce, and healing is new Linkin Park song off upcoming release, "Mediora" is "Somewhere I belong".

Chorus goes like this:

I wanna heal
I wanna feel
Like I'm close to something real;
I wanna let go of the pain I've felt so long,
Find somewhere I belong.

Song rocks but has lots of angst and very, very true words for me.

In fact, this song along with other Linkin Park song, "N Th End" are songs about the demise of my marriage, at least to me that is.

Sometimes we have to crank it up, let the windows down and sing at the tops of our lungs and let this all out.

Laura,

Wait til you hear it, it's got this upbeat tune to it...it is such a cool song.

I love anything Matchbox 20 sings as well. One night I set listening to the radio for hours, they had him on doing just regular guitar and singing, no other music, it was too cool...

Not peachy, some day all that pain will disappear, it is good to have songs to help us through though, isn't it?

c'ya'll,

ANNA

Anna, I love Matchbox 20 and I got the album as soon as it came out and immediately fell in love with that song. It's perfect and also makes me laugh every time I hear it!

Wow, notPeachy, I do not know that song, because I have been too depressed to even listen to music, but that chorus describes exactly my psyche at the moment. I just want to live again. To be happy again. To feel something other than pain.

Thanks for sharing.

Anna2000 and LetSTry,

You two are so quirky! I love this song too. It's so bouncey and funny and fun and well...it says how I feel--I'm not crazy, I'm just a little unwell. heehee <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> This song always cheers me up!

Here's another song I like. Now, it's "Beautiful" by Christina Aguilera on her "Stripped" CD (which I DON'T like her new stripper image), but the words of this one just give me courage and self-esteem. I *am* beautiful, inside and out!

Every day is so wonderful
And suddenly, it’s hard to breathe
Now and then, I get insecure
From all the fame, I’m so ashamed

I am beautiful no matter what they say
Words can’t bring me down
I am beautiful in every single way
Yes, words can’t bring me down
So don’t you bring me down today

To all your friends, you’re delirious
So consumed in all your doom
Trying hard to fill the emptiness
The piece is gone and the puzzle undone
That’s the way it is

You are beautiful no matter what they say
Words won’t bring you down
You are beautiful in every single way
Yes, words won’t bring you down
Don’t you bring me down today...

No matter what we do
No matter what they say
When the sun is shining through
Then the clouds won’t stay

And everywhere we go
(everywhere we go)
The sun won’t always shine
(sun won’t always shine)
But tomorrow will find a way
All the other times

We are beautiful no matter what they say
Yes, words won’t bring us down
We are beautiful no matter what they say
Yes, words can’t bring us down
Don’t you bring me down today

Don’t you bring me down today
Don’t you bring me down today

Let us try,

Cool to see other people admire the song so much as well. I don't have the album yet, but I plan to get it, and next time they come to Houston, I'm gonna get tickets.

Faithful,

Funny you should mention that song, when I think of MB I think people should listen to that song, because we are all beautiful, no matter what are ex's, stbx's and spouses have put us through.

Don't really care for Christina Aguilar, but love the song.

Take care,

ANNA

FW,

Here's another one that I think you and MB may enjoy as well...

I love this song...

Artist Avril Lavigne

I'm standin' on the bridge
I'm waitin' in the dark,
I thought that you'd be here, by now.
Theres nothing but the rain,
no footsteps on the ground,
I'm listening, but theres no sound.

Isn't anyone tryin' to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home.

Chorus:
It's a damn cold night,
Tryin' to figure out this life,
Won't you take me by the hand,
Take me somewhere new,
I don't know who you are but I,
I'm with you.
I'm with you.

I'm lookin' for a place,
I'm searchin' for a face,
Is anybody here I know,
Cause' nothin's goin right,
And everything's a mess,
And no one likes to be alone.

Isn't anyone tryin' to find me?
Won't somebody come take me home.

Chorus:
It's a damn cold night,
Tryin' to figure out this life,
Won't you take me by the hand,
Take me somewhere new,
I don't know who you are but I,
I'm with you.
I'm with you.
Ya eah

Oh, why is everything so confusing,
Maybe I'm just out of my mind,
Yaaaeah yaeah yaeah yaeah yaaaaaaaaaaeah

Chorus:
It's a damn cold night
Tryin to figure out this life
Won't you take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are but I,
I'm with youuuuuu
I'm with youuuuuu

Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
I don't know who you are but
I'm with youoooooooooooo
I'm with youuuuuuuuu

Take me by the hand
Take me somewhere new
Don't know who you are but I,
I'm with you
I'm with you
I'm with you
