How do you cope with a constant complainer?
I used to just ignore it, but it only got worse, so that now he complains constantly, about the most ridiculous things, such as road conditions, other drivers, how the flag is displayed, how someone is dressed, etc, etc, ad nauseum. It is such a downer, and I realized that I have just complained as well, but this is nothing compared to what I listen to every day. I got so I dread being with him. Any helpful suggestions would be welcome. I don't want to be a nagger. Jean

Gray says that when something a husband does isn't accepted by his wife, he will unconsciously keep doing the behavior until it is accepted. Obviously, you and H are stuck in a loop.
Now that you know, a few strategies to escape it should occur to you.
I also know that being off my Wellbutrin allows a jaundiced attitude to resurface in me. So it may be time to find out if hubby is depressed or something.
Good luck.

Thanks Sisyphus. I don't think he is depressed. I think he's just stuck in that mode. I, on the other hand, am getting depressed. Maybe I need to go back on my Zoloft.
