Well Good Morning all!!!!!!!!1
I am surprisingly having a good day and savoring every minute of it. Because I know this too shall pass (haha) I had a rough night though, trying to imagine what is going to happen in the court room, will I be strong?? will I break down?? What will I do when I see him again?? I am just so nervous. I really don't know how the process goes. My attorney told me he filed for exclusive rights due to abandonment and H living out of the state and the last time he was with the kids he was under the influence wrecked the van. The last memory I have is being at the hospital with my H and him fighting with the police officers due to them not letting him have a cigarette, he was biligerent and throwing things at me, yet when he got sick I cleaned him up....What insanity huh??? Anyway back to the subject at hand, I retained my attorney and filed on Mar 21, my attorney told me he would have to come back to the state for a pre trial hearing in 2 weeks. I have no idea how I will react so I am now trying to work on how to handle that day...Any Ideas???????

I don't know how yours will go. My D is taking a long time. I filed a year ago and nothing's moved. In your case, your atty will probably file a "pendente lite" (pending litigation) motion for child support and alimony to support you and the children. This is financial protection for you, since he is only liable to pay support from the time you file. I have no idea how one salary can support 10 people, God bless you. In NJ, support for 2 children is about 25% of income. I wonder what 8 children is? It may be a disincentive for him to work.
