I have just confessed to my husband in the past week about my affair.
I am so blessed that he forgave me and is committed to loving me despite the stupidest mistake of my life.
Now I am scared. I have gotten into huge trouble with my work and am undergoing disciplinary measures willingly but feeling mortified along with remorse.
We have not made love since I confessed. I am afraid Husband will not be able to find me desirable again. Should we just "date" for awhile? We choose to live together and there's tons to deal with right now. Before this, we had a wonderful lovelife. I am not like the "typical" women mentioned often but my husband is a few years older and has had a life threatening illness (he is recovering)
Am I right to be afraid? What is appropriate and how do we get to that place of intimacy again?
Right now we are hugging and crying in each other's arms a lot and kissing--just small kisses.
I hope this is not wrong to ask in a forum but I need help.
I thank God for showing mercy to me and pray for a new life that is ten times better than before, although I know lots of hard work and struggle lies ahead.
------------------
Fresh Start

Why don't you get Harleys' book "Surviving an Affair"?

Why don't you ask him to let you know when he's ready to be with you again? Talk about it openly (about the two of you). It will be ok. Time and communication will help heal, with God's help and some counseling too! I will pray for you both. Thank you, Sisyphis and Ted.
I have bought Surviving an Affair but guess since I'm only at the beginning, haven't read that part yet!
Today was very good. We saw a pastor who loves us very much and we got great counsel.
Thanks for your prayers. Mine are with you, too.
------------------
Fresh Start
