OK, will be upbeat here...
Happy Birthday, kiddo! I know you are sick, and missed a wonderful night out with the girls, but we can still send you a birthday hug {{{peachy}}} and good thoughts and prayers to get well soon.
Have as much fun tonight as you can!

Thank you thank you thank you:)
I am feeling still poopy but smiling. I will get off here soon and go watch Ben.
You are sooo wonderful to remember me. I am 34 and am going to get a haircut and color (lighter summer blonde--real blondes have about three shades or more of blonde running through their hair and it is a huge mess..Unless youre a Scandinavian chick with silvery blonde.)
Thank you and I feel the hug...Gosh I needed it. The girls are out at East Andrews..Very yuppie spot in Buckhead. Very cool. And without peachy.
But the peach won't stay in the pits too long. And anyhow, huge rainstorm started here a bit ago. Might not have been safe driving about 25 miles to get there. So I will go out instead tomorrow.
Oh...And peachy has gotten an offer she may not be able to refuse...A very cute stockbroker emailed me today...I met him a few weeks ago when I was out with girls again. He knows one of my girlfriends and got my email address from her. He asked me if I wanted to have dinner tomorrow night for my bday if I was feeling better. He said it was ok to not consider it a date. He is really cute. Not Jethroish. And is divorced. With a son same age as mine. His wife had an A and it was with her boss. That girl must've been blind or something. Anyhow, he is not trying to make it too date-y as I said I won't consider involvement until papers are signed..
Bangarra and buddies: What do I do?

feel better first, then tomorrow...
go have a nice evening! If he's not looking at it as a "date", it would be fun to go spend some time with a nice guy! Believe me, it is nice to go out and talk to someone around your own age... hard to have a lot of great conversations about current affairs of the world with your kids.

Thanks Lori. I will do that. This is a HUGE step for me. I think what I am afraid of is fact that I haven't allowed any opportunities with opposite sex in quite a while b/c I wanted that ink dry. I was afraid I would succumb to some kind of fog too. Because I was depleted of my LB and alone. Alone for 1 1/2 years. And I do think I am ok with dinner and dialogue about the world. Gosh. So much to talk about. And with someone who looks kinda cute. Actually dashing. But I am scared he will try the obligatory kiss thing. I will just shake hands or give him a hug and say that the o.k. will have to wait about two more weeks.
See, I feel safe right now. I live in workout clothes or sweats. At work I have scrubs to wear. I don't have a need to dress up anymore and don't have the $$ to buy cute clothes as I am using every dime to keep us afloat now. But that may change, and probably will change on Wednesday ...
Glad you're doing good tonight too. I am almost too tired to gaze at cute Ben tonight. I may wake up early tomorrow to clean house and then to go and get hair cut and color weave. I have one or two really cute outfits I can wear. Guess I am scared about what to talk about during dinner. This friend/not yet a date thing has me wigged out. I haven't done this in NINE YEARS. Yes...NINE YEARS...A little over a third of my lifetime.

peachy, the first "date" I went on after ex left was a 28 year old. I was 38. It was a riot, I felt like his mother. Ever go on a date and the waiter keeps looking at you for approval? It was ODD Anyway, we had dinner and then went and played pool (I beat him, too). I did give him an O.K. but when he kept calling for other dates, I couldn't do it, it was just too strange.
Later went out to dinner and movies a few times with a guy a few years older than me. He is now married with a kid on the way, but we all get together and go motocrossing a few times a year.
Sort of fell into a relationship and that was halted (my choice) about 1 1/2 years ago, haven't really had much interest in dating since. I think I want to be sure I can handle things on my own, that I am totally free of all the BS with ex, and am truly comfortable within myself... in other words, where I should have been before I ever got into any of my past relationships!
In the past 2.5 years of this divorce stuff, I have gone almost entirely grey, lost 40 pounds, put it back on again. Went from emotional basket case to healthy and stable minded and back to emotional again. Guess that is why they call it a rollercoaster ride. Well... I don't want to play anymore, I want to get off the ride. Now, when I finish having motion sickness, maybe I can consider dating again??? Hey, I like that analogy.

Good morning all. I feel poopy still. And Lori, you will be the catch of the day but that is when you decide you want to be. That is hilarious about the younger dude thing.
Ok. I will go. But the thing is I have this awful cold. He knows it. at least that will give him no chances for the ok..(obligatory kiss) thing. But I have to clean me up today. I will lounge about house. And am going to get a trim today (hair) and put together my outfit. I will post later as I will be getting nervous.

Happy BIRTHDAY greetings to you Peachy and hope this year brings about all your dreams!!!
I am so thrilled to hear you went out on a date!!! Fabulous news girl! What a great hair day!
Love your get go getta outta here spirit and think it's wonderful you have opened your heart some. I am happy for you, you deserve so much better. You have been a wonderful support/model for your son !
Way to go and watch MHo blow out. I read your threads and can't belive the cheap thrills these two are trying to pull. I bet MHo is finding out that he isn't attaching himself to her and he is probably starting to unload his garbage on her.
Definately, ignore them pair of immature thrill seekers . They are as equally disturbed as one another. They are craving attention anything they can come up with, obviously Darth is starting to find MHO boring already. Mho knows this and probably senses his heart is not in their sick relationship which is driving her crazy.
If she was the great love of his life he wouldn't be wasting his precious moments sending you emails to annoy you. Next time he calls utters a cus hang up.... feed him as little attention.
Darth does sound like a psychopath like mine. Sound he regards you as his prey/possesion.
I did alot reading on psychopaths NPD/Bi Polar 2 lately. Wow it all makes so much sense. Unfortuanate we didn't understand how sick the were to get involved with them.
They are so darn angry that they have lost dominion and angry that you won't allow Darth to be the ego manic of wanting you to be apart of his herd adoring him.
You are moving along steam full ahead, in the right manner with having the legal community handle him. I wonder though why he is not having an pyschiactric evaluation in regards to your son.
Is this not possible? He sounds like he also needs to be in a men's battering program and having to take parental classes.
I feel so sorry for your son. I am deeply saddened that he has to be exposed to such sick man. Can you request that he have supervised visits due to his history of violence towards you?
If your up to it, I would like to see the photos and can email me at mayn@telusplanet.net
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABES!!!!
Millions of hugs!

Thank you soooo much. Actually, I haven't gone out yet. I leave in ONE HOUR AND AM CALLING ORCHID ON THE PHONE FOR ADVICE> Gosh I am nervous. He (nice guy) C., called me on his way back from the family wedding this weekend to make sure I wasn't backing out. He was very sweet and we are going to my favorite hang out place : BAHAMA BREEZE. I love it! It is so fun. Not too pretentious, but fun. Plus I am a huge Jimmy Buffet fan and they have this guy there on weekends who plays Jimmy songs on the patio and is the next best thing to a weekend away.
And the new OW is not MHO. It is Ms. Family Values. MONKEYHO DUMPED HIM A FEW MONTHS AGO.
And I will ask about the angermanagement/battery thing. He does need to do that. But my hair looks good and I feel good. Next comes a bubble bath and call to Orchid for womanly advice. I am wearing a cute fitted salmon colored top that does show my figure a bit. Open neckline but not giving away the whole thing like Ms. Family Values did in the photo. You gotta have mystery. Black fitted pants and some very cute sandals. High heeled and open toed so my pedicure will show. Am wearing a tangerine kinda Indian (like as in bombay) inspired necklace and earrings. Very cool but not in your face. Becoming with my coloring.
I will email you those pics. God bless you. And my other email, the one I use daily is the one I will send from. I check domgoddess email address about one time a week.
