I'm going to see a few lawyers on Friday. I have gotten the names of three who I can each get a free 30 minute consultation with.
What are some important questions to ask? My primary purpose is to find out what is actually involved in filing for Dv, and what I should be careful about so as not to get "screwed over" by my H.
We have a separation agreement already (home made, but legal). We've been separated for nearly a year, so either one of us can file right away, so I'm covering my bases.
