Using the word "attack" in another post reminded me of something my two boys said last year. They think lawyers are like Pokemon, they have different "attacks" and you train them. My oldest wants to sue anyone who crosses him now, and he asked if he could use my lawyer. "He's probably pretty strong by now, from using him against Mom."
They have no real information about the legal process, or our lawyers, so it must be something of a mystery to them.
Anyone else's kids have unusual or funny perceptions of the lawyers?

Yes tmmx - I am regularly told by my kids that lawyers are out to get you. See, my x-husband drove it into my kids head over and over. Mom is wasting money on the lawyers. My kids are 17-24 have 4 of them. But they don't want to see the facts, and in time they will. I will in time, if they want to see, show them the whole divorce, labeled from day 1 to the end. Of their dads, controlling behavior, manipulation. How he lied about the affiar, the sex, the money. And I had to fight to get what I deserved. And still am fighting. Cause now hsuband wants to put me in court. But I am done, totally done.
The kids, yes, I have a couple that don't mind sueing. They feel to sue is part of life. The christian way of life is to talk, converse and find an ending.
Anyways, I am hearing the same words, and I have one son that swears a lot. He heard his dad swear, call me names, ugly names, and now he swears all the time. I have asked him not to, but it doesn't matter, he said, he heard it all.
Pokemon, is a good word for lawyers. I am trying to talk to my kids, and trying to get through my feelings with my kids. Their dad, doesn't care about my feelings, and therefore there is very little conversation between him and I. It is much better this way.
Talk with the kids, and their is a book out, I can't remember the name of it about divorce and lawyers. It was on TV a while back. But talks about divorce, and the kids put the blame on these evil people. Sorry, but my memory is still not good.

Hi:
My son has told me many times that I should sue the OM. And he also wants to get the police involved. He thinks the OM should be arrested for destroying our family. I tell him that crimes of the heart are not prosecuted by the police or litigated by lawyers. But those who commit them will someday have to answer to a higher authority.

Listen to our children, because their only ulterior motive is to have a happy stable loving family. The information they have is pure, straight and most likely correct.
