...am I the only one in this forum that had the dubious pleasure of watching Matrix: Reloaded, doing laundry, ordering pizza, and then listening to The Cure while surfing the net? Y'know, I surfed for a whole 2 hours and did not find TRUE LOVE. <wonders if the internet is broken>
I think I need a motorcycle. I don't care what any of you say, a 1000cc Ducati Supersport would fill all kinds of ENs for me. ;-)

How was the movie? A buddy and I were going to go on Thursday after work, but all the shows were sold out.
I haven't done jack-squat tonight, but I've had a blast. All I've done is watch a little TV, gone for a run that turned into a long walk after a while, and lifted weights. Toss a little Internet surfing in the mix and that was my night.
Not the most exciting of evenings, but after the last year and a half, I could use some peace.

Yea, Lyxa...
And if you didn't wear a helmet, your motorcycle could fill all sorts of needs for me as well. Like...
Pay for my 'alimony' for the next several months....
Heh heh heh....
We in the trade call anyone who rides without a helmet...
Donorcyclists...
Because over 60% of our organ transplants come from them...
Just keepin' it real man... keepin' it real.....

At least you watched the whole movie. I think I have seen only parts of the movie. Pizza sounds good, but I ate two go-gurt for lunch. I guess it is time to think about something else to eat, but I am not hungrey. You are one up on me, I wish I would have washed the sheets today because they would have dried quickly outside today.
As for trolling the internet for true love, there needs to be a certain amount of structure around before you have a chance to carch anything.
Sorry, but the motorcyle is just to noisy, now laying beside still waters would fill my EN. Besides I don't have a clue about what a good bike would be. I am sure all I would have to do is ask the neighbor boys, they are always running up & down the hills with their motorcross bikes.

I was glad 'cuz it was a Saturday nite I didn't have to work!. Went to a friend's house to help her celebrate her daughter's graduation, came home, had a glass of wine and called my oldest daughter. My youngest daughter is spending the night with friends.
Saw the Matrix Reloaded last night - I really enjoyed it. Going golfing tomorrow, it should be a nice day, and a good friend is treating me to a game. One of the best weekends I've had in a long time....dare I say it feels like almost....normal???!!!

Hi, just a womans point of view. I saw the movie Matrix tonight, with my x-husband and 3 of our kids. It was okay, a little dry, the actions scenes were good. I personally would of liked to see a romance movie. I am in the mood of romance, and true love, and a crying scenario.
Hey you guys on the motorcycles, yes, the transplants are many of those from those whose lives were shortened riding the wind.
As for me, being on the beach, under an umbrella, and reading a good book, and taking a nap. What a treat. I just want to go away after the divorce is final. Seems I am being pushed by my kids, my x-husband, my mother, and sister inlaw. No sitting back for me. And the work around here is endless. I would like to sell this big place, and move into a nice small townhouse, or a duplex. Or build a duplex. That would be better, than the other side I could rent, and get an income monthly.
Too much work for a woman, without a husband to do things.
Saturday nights, are a little dull now adays. But you know, it is for our body to sit back, relax, and ride the waves.

Happy Saturday! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
Tonight, YS and I went to see the movie Anger Management. Then I came home and went balistic on D (She's a slob - which is putting it nicely) So much for anger management! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
I am normally very calm - like Adam Sandler in the movie. It made me kind of wonder about myself.

Lyxa, I took a Ducati for a spin last year. It was for sale at the place I take my car for some work. The guy had traded it in for a BMW sport. I learned how to ride about 3 years ago when my STBXH decided he wanted a new Honda CBR. He said something about me sitting on the back and I told him I wanted my own. I was just learning then so I bought a Honda 250 Rebel. It's a bit slow for me now, and I haven't ridden it much lately but I have a great brain bucket and my daughters like it when I pick them up from school on it. I'll probably keep it for a while since it makes a good back up vehicle when my car is in the shop. I'd like to get something bigger eventually. I don't know where you live but there's nothing like an early morning ride on a long stretch of road. I wish I lived closer to the ocean. Some day I hope to ride the whole coast of CA. I'm a very carful driver and I do have eyes in the back of my head. Never had a spill or a wreck. When you stay out of the city it's a lot safer. I say go for it!
your friend, Aly

Yeah. Woo hooo...! Divorcing people's weekends! LOL. Some of you kicked my butt... others, well, <offers you some pizza and a Diet Coke>
Comments - Matrix: Reloaded is DRY? No way! You have the love/hate relationship between Smith and Neo, sexual tension between Morpheus and Niobe, the eternal love between Neo and Trinity... the whole movie is crawling with romance... it's what separates humans from the machines. ;-) You just have to look past the flying bullets, kung fu fighting, and eye-popping special FX. - I have 2 50 cc scooters. She was going to take hers, but if any of you have been following my posts... you'll know I'm a firm believer in "strategic" divorcing... which gave me her scooter too. Neither will go past 35 mph, but you don't insurance, tags, etc to ride them in Maryland. I've been coveting a sport bike since the weather warmed up a bit. Maryland crawls with back country roads... and our coast line is pretty gorgeous too. Especially up into Delaware. I'm still on a strict no "greater than $500" purchases diet without my lawyer's approval, but I have to admit that the tempation to pick up a 400 - 600 cc used bike is overwhelming at times. Then, later, I'll pick up a 1000cc bike. The noise and speed being a perfect match for some of the dark moods I still get. Now, I'm wishing I had kids to pick up from school on a bike I don't have yet. ;-0 Thanks Aly. <smiles> - I know that some of you are struggling financially. All I can say is that you should have divorced me. My x walked out with $40,000 in cash, a new car, about $30,000 in high end furniture, and health insurance and $300 per month spousal support payments for a year. You probably would have used it a bit more wisely than she has. If you want, I'll give you her contact info... and you can start hitting her up for loans. <chuckles> Just kidding.

You know, there are places you can rent bikes for a weekend. You could ride down to Oceanside/MD and all the way to Cape Had/NC if you wanted. Even riding around Annap/MD would be nice. Accross the bridge and down to the beach. Just stay away from the city. Put a bed role on the back and take a jump in the water when you get there. Sleep on the beach. The ocean is so calming. If I was you that's what I'd do. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> I was actually thinking about doing this down here on a weekend my STBXH has the kids. I have a girlfriend from HS who lives with her H and kids down on Padre Island. I could ride all the way down and crash with her for a night or two. Lay on the beach all day and fish off the dock. Why sit around here lonely. I can be lonely anywhere. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> Well, the sun is shinning and it's wicked hot out. Summer's not even here yet. My STBXH called and is messing with the vacation schedule for the summer. I hope my lawyer calls me later. I'm setting out for a 20 mile bicycle ride to burn off some stress.

Aly, what kind of bike do you have? I remember you said it was a smaller cc bike... maybe you can help me answer this question... in Mission Impossible 2... the bike Tom Cruise rode at the end, what kind is that? I love the cross-over design as I hate to limit myself based on road conditions.

Lyxa, This is going to sound really lame but I didn't see the movie. When the first one came out a few years ago I went with my kids and WH. He sat crying in the romantic scenes because he was thinking about OW. It made me sick so I didn't rent it later and I didn't see the second one. Besides, WH is an X Air Force pilot and ruined the whole Tom Cruise-Top Gun thing for me. Sorry. I did see OO7 and he was riding a BMW. It was the bomb and I actually sat on one at the BMW bike dealer here in town. It was too big for me to ride or I would have taken it out for a spin. My bike is just a little Honda Rebel 250. It's a great city bike. I wish I knew more about motorcycles. I'd like to learn about them so I could do the work on mine. It only tops out at 85 MPH. BMW makes a good on road off road. We have a friend who has one. Don't ask me the numbers but I think it's a 1200. I had a moped when I was 13. Ever since then I wanted a motorcycle. I almost got one before I met my WH. I was in the Air Force too and thought it would be a cheap way to get around. I met him and got pregnant in our second year of marriage. It wasn't a good idea after that. I'm sun burned and tired. Time for water, swim, nap and food. Bye.
your friend,
Aly

That's cool. Thanks for your response. My x's OM is an AF doctor... and, to be honest, it has really soured my entire perception of the military. One of their special dates was at Monster, Inc. and I still haven't been able to force myself to watch that movie... I just keep thinking about the OM's son in one chair and my wife and the OM... anyways.
I know exactly how you feel. I'm trying to get to a place, where things are just that - things. I'll tell ya what, come down to DC on your bike for the Veteran's Day bikerfest... we'll go beat the crap out of some stigma... and have some fun.
BMW's are too big. I want a bike, that if it falls over, I don't need special equipment to get it back up. And, then there's the cost. It's hard to know what's right sometimes. <small>[ May 18, 2003, 02:30 PM: Message edited by: Lyxa ]</small>
