WGTT posted this on last weeks thread. I'm moving it over here so everyone can read it. Thanks WGTT. Sorry about not getting this out before you posted. I try to do this when I get into work Monday mornings. But, because, as Twyla would say, "I live in a sucky time zone" I don't get to post until half of some poeple's day is gone. Posted by WGTT: Hi everyone I got this via email & thought it would be appropriate to post here. Every Sunday pray for ALL the prodigals !!! There is power in prayer! PRAY FOR ALL PRODIGALS! "...We have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding. And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God." Colossians 1:9-10 Pray that all prodigals will be obedient to the Lord's voice and wooing as our Heavenly Father is speaking to them every day. Pray for them to follow God's will. Pray for you and your spouse to be given spiritual wisdom, knowledge and understanding. This weekend pray for all standers to receive emotional healing as many are hurting from being wounded, rejected and abandoned. Pray for standers who are new Christians, and who weren wounded as a child, or as a young adult, or possibly in a marriage, not knowing the truth beforehand. "My people are destroyed from lack of knowledge." Hosea 4:6 May you and I pray scriptures like the one from Colossians for ourself and our loved ones, knowing and doing God's will. God's best is for one marriage for a lifetime. God created marriage to be permanent. Adultery is a sin in the Old Testament and the New Testament. God can rebuild, restore and walk you through repentance and forgiveness of sins that you and your spouse both may have committed. God can restore both you and your spouse for the healing of your marriage. Nothing is too hard for the Lord to fix in your marriage. Our society has made our marriages disposable, and because of many not speaking up against divorce, now we are having spouses that have been married two to five times, leaving many wounded children along the way. May we, the church, be sensitive and love all sinners, but still continue to teach and proclaim the Word of God and God's principles of holiness and righteous living. May all churches be careful to know the background of people who are in any position working in every area of the church. We have many prodigals attending church and teaching Sunday School who are also living in sin and blatantly committing adultery at home. They are attending church without repenting and turning from their sinful lifestyle. God help each of us to have wisdom and discernment. I pray as we minister hope and healing to couples around the world, that you and I can teach other people, that God loves sinners, but He wants us all to turn from our sinful nature and live a life of Christ-likeness. "It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.' But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for marital unfaithfulness, causes her to become an adulteress, and anyone who marries the divorced woman commits adultery." Matthew 5:31-32 Today, around the world, ask the Holy Spirit to speak to standers giving them hope, healing and restoration of their body, soul and spirit. Pray for prodigals around the world, who are living in a counterfeit world of sin, saying that they have legalized it.... making it to be all right. What is God telling them as their spouse, family and church are still praying for them to repent, coming back to the Lord and back to their spouse and family? Regardless of society in this modern world we live in, may we never water down the Word of God to fit our own personal circumstances. God does forgive, but remember also, what Jesus told the woman committing adultery and the Pharisees wanting to stone the woman in John 8: "...But Jesus bent down and started to write on the ground with his finger. When they kept on questioning him, he straightened up and said to them, "If any one of you is without sin, let him be the first to throw a stone at her."...At this, those who heard began to go away one at a time, the older ones first, until only Jesus was left, with the woman still standing there. Jesus straightened up and asked her, "Woman, where are they? Has no one condemned you?" "No one Sir,"she said. "Then neither do I condemn you," Jesus declared. "Go now and leave your life of sin." John 8:6-11 May you and I always continue to pray for all prodigals every Sunday to repent to come home to their Lord for their salvation. That every prodigal will repent, leaving their life of sin, seeking to grow close to their Lord, rebuilding their marriage as God can heal and restore it regardless of any circumstance. One of the secrets is for the stander to walk through the process of God's grace, of forgiving their spouse, of loving their spouse unconditionally with their Lord restoring and rebuilding their marriage on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. Pray for this Sunday to be a day of brokenness, of repentance, of godly sorrow, leading every sinner to becoming a new creature in Christ and turning away from their ungodliness. Pray for everyone will turn their hearts to their Lord, to their spouse, to their family and to home. Prodigals Do Come Home! steadfast and committed, Thanks for adding me to the list. So you all know the good Catholic boy in me includes all of you here at MB in my daily Rosary on my morning walk (with my best friend Clancy - a Siberian Husky!) <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> But I will also begin addressing those on the list as well in a more direct way, in addition to my general prayer. BTW: I have found a great site - I used to catch his sermons on the radio every now and then, and once in a while on TV. Dr. Charles Stanley. I like his style in that he breaks things down in a very easy to understand way. Plus he makes it easy to see how to put into practice what he teaches about... Anyway, on his site are archives of many, many of his sermons, labeled by topic. You need Real Player to hear them over the Internet (it is free and you can get it from his site I think - And the sermons are free as well). Even though he is not Catholic, I still gain so much from his insight - besides I don't get caught up in who believes what - believing in, and living according to God is what it is all about. I listen to the sermons while I'm at work, but they sound fine using a regular dialup connection at home as well. Here is the link: http://www.charlesstanley.com/myintouch/broadcasts/archives_77395.html.... Definitely worth a look... God Bless, Mike

This week's edition of Power of a Praying Wife:
</font><blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Arial">quote:</font><hr /><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial"> His Deliverance:
Everyone needs deliverance at certain times; b/c there are all kinds of things that can pull us into bondage. God knows this. Why would He have instructed us to pray, "Deliver us from the evil one" (Matt. 6:13) if we didn't need to be? Why does He promise to deliver us from temptation (2 Peter 2:9), the clutches of dangerous people (Psalm 140:1), our self-destructive tendencies (Proverbs 24:11) all our troubles (Psalm 34:17), and death (2 Cor. 1:10), if He doesn't intend to do it? He is ready and willing. We just have to ask "Call upon Me in the day of troubles, I will deliver you and you shall glorify Me" (Psalm 50:15).
Isn't it comforting to know that when we feel imprisoned by the death grip of our circumstances, God hears our cries for freedom! He sees our need "He looked down from the height of His sanctuary; from heaven the Lord viewed the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner to release those appointed to death" (Psalm 102:19,20). How glorious to embarce the certainty that when there seems to be no way out, God can miraculously lift us up and away from whatever it seeking to devour us (Psalm 25:15). Who doesn't need that?
Even if your H finds it difficult to admit he needs help -- some men feel like failures if they can't do it all themselves -- your prayers can still be instrumental in his finding deliverance. You can pray to the Deliverer to set him free from anything that binds him.
</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial"> PRAYER:
Lord, You have said to call upon YOu in the day of trouble and You will deliver us (Psalm 50:15). I call upon You now and ask that You would work deliverance in my H's life. Deliver him from anything that binds him. Set him free from (name a specific item). Deliver him quickly and be a rock of refuge and a fortress of defense to save him (Psalm 31:2). Life him away from the hands of the enemy (Psalm 31:5).
Bring him to a place of understanding where he can recognize the work of evil and cry out to You for help. If the deliverance he prays for isn't immediate, keep him from discouragement and help him to be confident that You have begun a good work in him and will complete it (Phillipians 1:6). Give him the certainty that even in his most hopeless state, when he finds it impossible to change anything, You, Lord, can change everything.
Enable him to take up the shield of faith, with which to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. I pray that he will take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God, praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful and standing strong to the end (Eph. 6:13-18).

lady, I will be praying for everyone. I am still really confused about what I should do, and what God wants me to do. So, please pray for me and my WH, Dan, and that God will reveal to me what I should do. I'm really tired of long distance Plan A'ing, and it will be a year next month that my WH moved out and in with OW. I have been on Plan A for about 4 mos, long distance, with infrequent phone calls, but lots of letters and cards from me. Thanks for your prayers. God Bless, cajeanie

This one really spoke to my heart so I thought i would share it here ... Could also apply to SBx's and Ex's HOW DO I FORGIVE MY SPOUSE? "Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the plank out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother's eye." Matthew 7:1-5 I taught on forgiveness at our local Bible Study group this week. I found out that there are many who are still walking through the steps and process of forgiving their spouse for their daily and weekly activities. Summeris often a difficult time for standers. Some parents have to pack up their children and give them over to their spouse for the entire summer, part of the summer, or for a few weeks. That leaves the stander alone, asking and seeking the Lord how to get through those many lonely days. Many prodigals are taking the other person on vacation with their children. We all need to pray against all these circumstances and pray that the Lord will give you the spirit of forgiveness daily. We also need to remember and pray for many male standers who may not see their children daily, due to very limited visitation. I need to share a few more thoughts about forgiveness. You need to daily give your spouse and that other person to the Lord. You must slay the giant of unforgiveness! Unforgiveness is a sin in God's eyes. Remember the powerful and strong scripture: "Forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors...For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins." Matthew 6:12, 14-15 Each of us need the constant oil of forgiveness. Ask the Holy Spirit to give you the grace and mercy to be able to forgive your spouse daily. Before you forgive your spouse of the "unforgivable," you must know and understand the biblical concept of forgiveness and Christ's mandate to forgive. Ask the Lord to give you the spirit of forgiveness and unconditional love for your spouse. Your Lord God can touch and change your heart of stone, anger and bitterness to a softened heart. I know personally, as I divorced Bob due to my hardness of heart, due to the circumstances that I had gone through. I thought I had justification. The Lord wanted me to forgive Bob as He forgave me of my daily sins. "You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness...Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you." Ephesians 4:22-23, 31-32 Forgiving is NOT condoning what was or is being done. Forgiveness never condones a wrong. It is not letting your spouse or loved one "off your hook," but giving your spouse to God for Him to put them on His hook! Giving your spouse to the Lord also is telling the Lord you want to forgive your spouse and all their offenses so that your Lord God can remove the pain that is in your heart. Forgiveness is a choice and the Holy Spirit will help you walk through the process of forgiving, which may take some time. Remember, to commit and surrender your spouse to the Lord every day. l hear many people say, "forgive and forget" but, Bob and I "forgive and remember" so we can share God's awesome power of forgiveness and restoration and to never forgethow the enemy can trick and deceive us by falling into sin all over again. The enemy wants to keep you tormented by the daily events that your spouse is doing in their lives with the other person. Both your spouse and the other person are not your enemies, but the enemy is satan. These are two children that Jesus Christ died for that need to turn from their evil ways and repent changing their life of sin. The Bible is a manual of instructions of how we are to live. We are not to react to our emotions and feelings, but pray and love our spouse unconditionally as Jesus does. Let us learn how to walk in victory each day and not live as defeated Christians! Read the parable of the unforgiving servant in Matthew 18:21-35. Who are you like? Do you ask for forgiveness from the Lord regularly, but are not willing to forgive others? Are you willing to forgive your spouse and the other person? The New Testament teaches us that forgiveness is not optional, but mandatory. I pray that you will go to the Lord this week and start repenting of your unforgiveness and ask the Lord to remove all areas of unforgiveness, starting with your spouse to the other person, to people in your past that you have never forgiven, but carry events stuffed down in your memory bank. Ask the Lord to wipe your slate clean with the oil of forgiveness. I know I definitely did!! Went to Wednesday night service, and the pastor was G-R-E-A-T!!!!
If anybody's interested (if not, I'm gonna do it anyway!), I'd like to share a little about his message.......
First of all, he's a big believer in KNOWING your VISION. WHAT is it God has promised to do for you? WHERE IS IT He going to take you? That's a biggy to Him.
Pastor says we BACKslide cause we look BACK!!! Never look back........don't yearn for what WAS. God is a God of forward things.......always going forward.
Our pastor is fond of saying: "Jesus' ministry was 30 years in the making, and only lasted 3 years. We should NOT be in a big hurry." God isn't! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />
Often we quit b/c we don't like the PROCESS it takes to make the PROGRESS. (The other thing he said, which I've heard before is: "Don't quit just before the miracle comes!" Meaning, satan usually works his hardest just before our miracle is to arrive b/c satan knows this, and wants to try to keep us from recieving it, by GIVING UP on believing it's coming. It might be right around the corner. NEVER GIVE UP!!!!!!!!!
NEVER STOP BELIEVING.
Also: If you delay the FORMING PROCESS, you delay the BLESSING.
He quoted from Gen. 2:8 saying: :God didn't put man in the "place" (Eden, fulfillment of His promise) till He had formed the place. It's possible your blessing hasn't arrived yet, cause "the place" isn't ready.
I took this to mean, I've still got work to do on ME, on our home, etc. before God will move to send my H home.
More: He said before we recieve our promise, we must go through seasons of Insignificance......A time to be ALONE with God. This happened to all the great leaders of the Bible. Do a study and you will see it's true. Moses, Joseph, Daniel, JESUS! DO NOT RUN FROM THIS. DO NOT FEAR IT. It's part of the process to get us ready for our next purpose in God.
OH! AND MY ALL-TIME FAVORITE thing: "When preparation has been done properly, the BLESSING COMES VERY QUICKLY."
There was so much, I couldn't even write it all down.............I'll have to get the tape.
He reiterated something I've been hearing a lot lately. THE WORD WORKS!!! Cling to the Word. Read the Word. Quote the Word (against the fiery darts of the devil), Hide the Word in your heart. Speak the Word out against your circumstance (though not against God's taking you to the backside of the mountain for a season).
I hope there's something in there for someone. I just had to share. It was sooooooo uplifting to me, and Mike? I think it was so clearly laid out b/c of YOUR prayers! Thank you, brother.
God Bless all,
|

lupolady, OK - with a couple tears in my eyes (which I have to suck back in since I'm still at work! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> ) Take a swing by this site and listen to this message. http://www.intouch.org/intouch/site...ent_date=11%2F25%2F2002&tag=DOMESTICI was/am just listening to it when I read your post. The message is ALL ABOUT why we need to wait for God and the message dovetails perfectly with what you just have posted!!! This ALL comes today, as I'm wondering whether to contact Trish to find out what she wants to do - work on "us" or "end us".... Boy, I think I got my answer! DO NOTHING BUT WAIT! See I know that is what I'm supposed to be doing, but at times it is so hard when everyone around me keeps telling me "your a great guy and you'll find someone else" or "she still hasn't called you, oh there is probably someone else" or "you can't live your life waiting"... It has been almost 4 weeks since she asked for "time" to think things through and to relieve the stresses in her life... Since we spoke on the phone for EVERY night for the past 1.5 years and saw each other just about every weekend, it is so difficult not to hear anything from her. BUT she emailed me several times that she would call me soon... Deep in my heart I believe God just needs time alone with her, without me involved. It is just so HARD to wait... And like I said, no one likes to see me sad, so they naturally think giving up on her and moving on is the thing to do... Plus this is what I went through with my X, only she started dating someone while I thought we were only separated... So thanks SOOOOOO much for sharing! It confirms that I do need to just continue to patiently persevere... You have made my day! (and I'm glad my prayers helped you too!) God Bless, Mike

Hello everyone! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
Today I called WH to tell him about a settlement he is to be receiving. I didn't know if he would take the money and run or what. Here's his response -
The first thing WE are going to do is take a cruise - the whole family <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
Then pay off OUR bills <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
Then invest the rest <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
I like this attitude. God is really moving on WH <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" /> Thank all of you who pray. Pray and an expectant attitude are unbeatable. (It just doesn't happen in my timeframe - darn. If it did, then I wouldn't be the person I am today!!!)
Blessings,
D.

WillGetThruThis,
So happy for you. I'll keep praying for you both that things continue. That whole "God's timing thing" is a tough one for me as well! Especially when He doesn't let you "see" any current results! What I have felt are two things: a sense of strength and a sense of peace. While it doesn't diminish the sadness of missing her, it does help me deal with it... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />
My favorite prayer "Hurry Up God and give me patience!" <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> {just kidding Lord!}
God Bless, Mike
