you should be here this weekend.

It is the 50th anniversary of the corvette and they are in Nashville en masse!! Thousands of them. All clean. All polished. All waiting to be admired.

Almost as many of them as there are Harleys in Sturgis.

HA...

My boys... 10 and 6 talked me into selling my rights to my new 50th anniversary Corvette to be delivered this summer. They said that since there wasn't room enough for both of them, that I shouldn't get it. So I 'sold' my deposit on a new, deep maroon metallic, convertable.

I wonder how they will feel about this little thing when they are old enough to 'Ask for the car.' heh heh heh...

I will be sure to remind them that they chose the minivan over the Corvette... so nice for prom.

Actually SUV... but I will probably not tell them that... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

i'm an auto body repairman, and trust me, 'Vetts are over priced and over rated....They ride like buck boards and crumble like cardboard if they get hit....rich boy toys....real men drive street rods..;]

My first car was a '68 Firebird 400 ci - 4 speed, made on the same day as I was born. My second was a '68 Camaro built 5 days later. Heh heh heh... my third was a '87 Cherokee, then '95 Wrangler, now '97 Explorer.... What happened???

I have been thinking about getting a Shelby Mustang... from the late '60s... about a '67 or '68 convertable... But I want it to drive... not to store. AHHHHH..... the trials of decisions.

Best looking car I EVER saw was a Mercedes SL, don't know if it was a 250 or a 380. It was black with a red leather interior. And the custom tag on the back said ZOOM. Still see that in my imagination.
