Well, here I am....someplace I never wanted to be...

I previously posted on the GQ boards (I and II) where I would post the ups and downs of trying to save my M. Two weeks ago, my husband went to the country where OW and his Dad live "on business." After two weeks there, he advised me today that he is not coming back to the US and intends to permanently relocate to the other country. He says all he wants are his personal things from out of our house and visitation with our son. Given that news, I really have no other alternatives left. I telephoned the less expensive of the two attorneys with whom I had previously consulted re: my rights and left instructions to proceed with filing for divorce. Happy Anniversary to me

Regards,

Brit's Brat - 42
SBXH - 44 this week
DS - 20 months
Married July 8, 2000
Divorce initiated July 1, 2003

Brits Brat - I would like to say welcome but I know that is the last thing you want to hear... Everyone here can be so very helpful... And I know you may not believe it now but your divorce is not the end of your world - I mean I thought so for quite a long time - but eventually you will accept this and be happy again - I know now it seems like never - but I keep reading the stories from people who pop back after a year and so and say - hey I am happy - and there is hope for you also... It is a long grieving process - but you can do it - and I am sure everyone here will be here to help... I am very sorry that this happened to you - but stay strong... And remember that you will be happy again someday

BB,
Sorry you're here but you will find tremendous support in this forum. Many here also post and are familiar with GQ board too. I'm sorry you had to hear he's not coming back over the phone. (Not that it's any easier in person!) Keep us posted as to how things are going for you.

BB-

Just sorry to see you posting in DD, this is where I started out, believing I would be divorced... now I think if it had happened sooner, life could be easier... But we all grow one day at a time.

I hope you are managing some fun. You are blessed with a beautiful son. YOu will find happiness with or without wh. This is all about him, not you... his selfishness and his needs, memememe....

Anyway, know you are thought of and we care about you.

H

and abandoned you and your son..
ain't that special..what a creep..

well you are going to be better off without that type of person for a husband..I am so sorry though
for the pain it is causing you and the confusion..

make sure you get residential custody..so he cannot take him out of the country...make sure your lawyer is aware of the laws..

where? what country? is he in Canada? or someplace else?

I will be praying for you..keep on keeping on..and please give your son lots of attention and hugs..he will need them..just as you will.

I had a dog to talk to and hug..and you know what..he showed more compassion and affection then hubby ever did..when I cried he licked my tears..he would comfort me..and check on me to make sure I was ok..what a companion..

I will be watching the boards keep us posted on how your doing and how things are going..for you..
