After a 5 1/2 year relationship, I found out my boyfriend was going out on me with a woman he had dated in his past. This woman was the "rebound" person, after a 4 year relationship he had been in had ended. For the 8 months he dated her, he never took her around his friends, never took her around his family, never took her to any work related functions. They stopped seeing each other because he wanted a casual relationship and she wanted something more. All during our relationship, she would call from time to time and let him know she still cared for him, even though she had gotten married and divorced for the third time. This person, who he claims he didn't really care anything about is the one he is seeing. It has caused so much heartache at my home. He was a father figure to my two kids, who were also hurt by this. I don't think he cares for this wicked woman now, she is a diversion, but it still hurts. Can anyone relate and help?

Thank you for your reply Carol. Do you think he is sincere in his heart to this other person? Why do you think he has gone to her? Thanks
