Thank you all for your support and prayers as I went out to lunch with my friend...I think it went pretty well...but she is really deep in the FOG. At least I tried to talk to her.

Tonight I talked to my mother....and she is failing rapidly. She sounds so weak. I am driving to Albuquerque on Sunday to see her. I am going to try to convince her that she either needs to move into an assisted living facility, or move in with my brother or myself. This is not going to be pleasant. I don't know how it is going to go...please keep me in your prayers as we try to determine the best possible solution. It is so sad.

I may have to leave my younger two with my ex and his bimbo as I try to get my mother's stuff organized. They definitely won't like that.

And, if my mother does agree to move up here--how will I handle that with the kids activities, soccer, work and just trying to keep up with everything here? I feel a little overwhelmed right now...please pray for strength for me and help in finding the right solution. Thanks Pat

Pat,

I am sorry about your mom, it is so hard when our paprents get older.

Perhaps being at your house and all the activity will perk her up some and she will thrive on the chaos like you do!!!! Just a thought!!!!!

Are there friends that you could disburse your younger ones out two so that the don't have to go to dad and bimbo's house?

My YD is with her dad right now, I make sure that the OD calls her at least once a week to check on her as she wouldn't tell me if she was having a bad time, she's my pleaser. It will be interesting to see if she says anything about dad and blimpo!!!!

I will pray that you have a safe journey and that everything works out for your family and mom!!!!

Thanks Dawn,

This is going to be so hard...Mom has always been so strong. She doesn't sound good tho. She has really been failing since her sister passed away last month. I hope I get there in time and we can come up with a plan.

I think I am going to leave my youngest two with my friend here for one week...and then Jim and bimbo can have them the next week. That way they can make their last ball games, swim meets and end of season pool parties. The second week they have a soccer camp up in KC--so that will be good for them to have the kids that week. I hope it works out. My daughter is upset that I am not taking them...but mom really doesn't sound good and we have so many hard decisions to make.

It makes me sad we won't be able to do fun things in Albuquerque.

It seems like life has had so much turmoil these past few years...I wish it would settle down.

I have to run to a swim meet. Thank you for your thoughts and caring....Pat

MNM---praying for you. Tough decisions like the one with your mom is so hard considering all the changes and stress you have with WS. It almost feels like we are running on empty sometimes so God will strengthen and totally promises wisdom to make right decisions.

Hi MNM - Sorry to hear so much "stuff" is going on (STILL!!!!) in your life right now. Sometimes it seems like the only true consistent thing in our lives right now is STRESS. If it builds character, I'm with you, thank you God, but I don't want anymore character just now. Please.

I'm looking forward to going to church this morning and spending some quiet time with Him, and you will certainly be in my prayers.

You're a truly strong and admirable woman, if that helps at all.

Hi Pat,

You and your family are in my prayers.

After my FIL passed on in May of 1999, WH wanted to have his Mom come live with us ( She required constant supervision - alzheimers). It was very hard going through the process. WH didn't like my answer - No, but there was no way that I could take care of her and everything else. Turns out
MIL wanted to stay near her friends so she went into an assisted living facility where she got lots of visitors.

Blessings,

D.

Hey you,
Try not to worry about something that might not have to happen. One day at a time, yes? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

I'll agree with you in prayer for a peaceful outcome.
