He's struggling with the fact that I actually like the woman he married. Now, she was not the ow.

He met her when he responded to her personal ad. She's ok. She loves my children. She's not perfect. But, she's ok. Just has bad taste in men.

Ha!

My XW's been dating a guy for over a year now. A few months back, I suggested that maybe its time I meet this guy. After all, he's been pretty good to her, and from all accounts he's not a bad guy (not the OM, btw), but she put the brakes on that really quick!

I said something like "hey, this guy seems okay...maybe you could bring him by the house so I could meet him?"

That really freaked her out!

The other day I was talking to her. x had knee surgery - I guess they figured it was pointless to try to fix his brain - and I had taken the children by to see him. Now, bear in mind that I see him about 5 times a week as I give him more access to children than I think is appropriate considering he left me. But, she and I were talking - in another room - and I said it really hurt me to have to see him so often and for all three of us to be in the same room at the same time was sort of like being in a surreal monage e trois (know what I mean?)

Tonight, when we got there, I didn't go in. She came out and we sat on the steps and talked while the children visited. that's when she told me this just eats him up. It was nice. Then I had to go in and get them.

I really do like her. I just don't like her taste in men.

Same here......my EX has nothing bad to say about my wife. My kids, family and friends love her. My EX cant even talk about her appearance, which I KNOW she would love to hate on.

Too Funny!

I wonder if my ex would be the same way. He seems to encourage his new wife and I to become friends, and seems baffled as to why I don't want to get to know her better.

The main reason I'll never be her friend is because if he happens to ever abuse her, she'd probably call me (as she has called me during a fight they had when we were total strangers) and then I'd be right back in the middle of his life. No siree, I am staying away from both of them.

BTW, thanks for the thumbs up on the "Flirting at the bookstore thread." I felt so foolish and you put a new light on it.

Also keep Houston & South Texas in your prayers as were getting hit by the hurricane right now and it's not looking pretty.

Dang, Princess, all I have to do is look happy!

Westley and I were sitting in the driveway one evening, waiting for the kids to come out, and wondering what Humperdinck thought about me still being with Westley all this time (over 2 years) and still being happy. My longest relationship prior to ex was six months.

Live well - it really is the best revenge! Not your fault if you BSes moved on with your lives after being DUMPED on by your EXes who tried to ruin your world with Divorce. And since you have moved on and have a pretty good outlook on life, it's certainly NOT your fault if those EXes have continuing problems!
Sad to say, I can find absolutely NOTHING good to say about the OM that my ex-wife married. Perhaps because he took my place as Mr. Henpecked (Oh my that wasn't very nice) but... if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, quacks like a duck, then by golly, it really must be a duck!

My x is living with my x friend.....double edge sword. But I have been over him for almost a year and it no longer bothers me. The funny thing is that HE now complains to me about HER and tells me that he is thinking of cheating on her with this woman he met from work. I just recently got dumped by a guy I was so head over heels for [rebound man, but wish it had been different]and the other day he went from wanting to date this other girl to wanting me back....OUCH! I think I have played this tune before and the ending was not too pleasant. But, it sure felt good to see him regret losing me and admit that I had been the best thing that ever happened to him. And, I thought to myself....no, I am the best thing that ever happened to me because I don't need to be with men who can't see me for me while they are with me. @-->->

Princess! I've found a new way too and it involves x's new gf.

She seems very nice and I wish them all the best. She has a dd the same age as mine and my dd wants to spend the night with them--that's cool but I told x I must have the lady's full name, address and phone number. Only what I would expect if dd stayed with any person in the world.

He absolutely refuses...I don't know what he's afraid of...AND if I really wanted to make trouble, I'd just call her at work since she works the same place he does. He's such a ma-roon. I guess he *thinks* I know something he doesn't want her to hear.
