I went to court today for a Case Management Conference, expecting nothing to happen - as usual. But while we waited for the judge, the lawyers were able to come to agreement on most of the remaining issues. My lawyer was even surprised.
The judge was in trial and couldn't finalize it today, but we should go back to court next week and it will be FINAL.
After all the stalling and lack of disclosure and discovery on STBX's part, its almost over.
And STBX said nothing about about the custody agreement, or anything about the kids. It was all about Child Support and how much he'd pay. Amazing. He fought so hard for equal custody (he didn't deserve equal) and it really was all about the money.

Now that its almost over, I'm wondering if his interest in spending time with the girls will wane. My DD6 said "I don't think Daddy likes me." How do you respond to that?
Thank you all for your support on these boards. I've needed it immensely.

hugs and prayers for you and children..

I think it is hard to explain to the child daddy doesn't love anyone..he is incapable of caring or loving anyone but himself.

I was married to a narcissit and they think only of themself. always they are first.second and last.
sorry to say.

hopefully you will be better off now and find some happiness with the children..God bless you and hope you have some good restful sleep now.
take care..and keep on keeping on..
God is faithful and He is there for you..always.
He will never leave you nor forsake you He will be your husband now..and HE is a father to the fatherless..Praying good things for you and the children.. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="images/icons/wink.gif" />

Newly - one day you will see that you did what was right. People here are telling us, and I am starting to see the light. Of course you know about SNL my x-husband, and who he is calling himself now. But I see that the right decision to divorce him was absolutely right. He is a controller, and a manipulator. This will not end, and he will never see the best in me.

For your daughter to say that about her father, ohhhh.... that hurt. I want to cry, the poor little one. She feels the pain so... just want to give her a big hug. Be there for her, and show your love and your thoughtfulness.

Explain that daddy messed up his life and has done things to create such a mess. Be supportive ad caring. The post divorce could be ugly. I was warned and it does get terrible. Wayward x-spouse is ugly at times, and this upsets everyone. The house is a better place without him here. Like tonight I inivted him here. Last time. No more. More of his quiet discussions with the kids, and like leaving me out of everything. I don't do this to him, and it is more of the unthoughtfulness.

Just so ridiculous, the lies will continue, until one day he fades away in the wind. Wish it was 5 years later, but it isn't and I just can't take him anymore. He said today, we won't beable to talk ever. I said nope. Cause I can't stand his lies. I can't stand that he tries to back things up with he states things and then says he can clarify them. WEll, that is not the way he was raised. That is not the way I was raised. And I jsut wish he would be honest with me.

Be prepared, I was told it would get ugly, and it has. Just more of his crap. And more of his ugliness. I feel for my kids, but they love their dad, and I don't wish they don't love their dad. Just wish that they would see the ugliness that their dad has caused.

Take ahold of your life. And get on a track of growth without him. Take your little ones by their hands and guide them to be happy, loving to both parents, and loving to both grandparents. It is going to be hard, and difficult to accept the new life. But without them, one day you will see that you did the right thing.

Good luck. And yes, divorce is ugly, and painful.

Hugs to you. I feel and know your pain. You are giddy one second being free of the burden of carrying his sin around and then crushed when you think your family is broken.

And just like you, I understand the part about him getting more custody. It's like he wants to prove a point. Kinda like this, "See, I may be an adulterer and left my wife, but I am a somewhat good guy after all and will prove it to the rest of the world by pretending to want to have the kids as much as I can". However, one CAN NOT SERVE TWO MASTERS. When the desire to live like a playboy surfaces soon, the kids will be back to your house again. I know this inside as you do too.

It's sad but true.

I am praying. Closure is good but it still hurts like heck. Praying for you and the children and sending much love to you this day. Wishing that the Holy Spirit surrounds you with love and peace now.
