The refinancing and closing for my house was last week and I am ok. I can't believe it but I feel like I have made a step to put WS and house and our life behind me. Hallejuah!!!!

I went past the house today cause I had a dr appointment which is near where I used to live. I did have a sinking feeling when I saw the house but I came home and did not dwell on what could be.

I also bought a guinea pig and she is so cute and right now, asleep in my lap. We are bonding and she is just what I needed. What a wonderful pet.

I know I would not have come this far without people like you all on this forum. THANKS!!!

My closing is next Thursday and I cannot wait until it is over and that chapter is closed...

I'm in an apartment now, and only having to worry about rent is much less of a burden than the mortgage, taxes, maintainence, etc.

It certainly does close a chapter. One more thing gets behind and closure is coming.

You are right about the easiness of life in an apartment but there are restrictions, too. I am enjoying my life and this is the first time in my life that I have no stress......

Hoping, did you sell your house?

Tossed Wave,
You sound so much better than last time I read one of your posts. My house closed July 1 and it was a great feeling. I feel sad going from a house to an apartment, but yes, it is much easier and you just have to hope for something better to come along for your life at this time- new opportunities, people or plans, whatever may be the case.

Yup, the house sold a while back, but it was one of those home sale contingent deals for the buyer and the closing is Thursday.

One other benefit of going to the apartment...the equity coming out of the house and into my bank account! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Adgirl----I am doing so much better. Thanks for noticing. God has filled the hole in my heart after I specifically asked Him to so I feel I have had a great breakthrough. Feel like my life is beginning to start anew. I have a wonderful peace and am just enjoying the serenity.

Hoping---glad you will have some loot to enhance your life. There are rewards on earth.

I'm proud of you TW. I just sold and closed on my house too, this past week. Althought the sale has helped to put me back on track financially, the mixed emotions and sense of loss for what could have been, should have been, are sometimes difficult to deal with. But deal we will. Take care.

Broken---deal we must. Sorry you had to experience another chapter in ending your long-term marriage. I do feel freer when I don't dwell on what could be so hope that is true for you, too.

STILL HATE LIVING ALONE!!!!!

Keep up the progress and hope you get to have some pleasure from the house money
