Married 4 years on Aug. 7. Have 1 child. 3yr. old daughter. Light of my life. Smart, beautiful, and full of life. Have had a rocky marriage. Wife has expressed unhappiness several times. Was diagnosed with mental illness in late winter, but withheld info. from me. I love my wife. Fighting got unbearable. She asked me to leave or she was going to take child and leave. I went to stay with a friend down the street. Discovered there was OM. I confronted her with a video proof. At first she wanted to work things out, now she won't go to counseling because I am "blackmailing her". I do not want a divorce. I do not want my child to grow up this way. It seems the more I show love and affection take her verbal abuse, the further away she gets. Can anyone talk to me about tough love?

Tough love is not for the faint of heart. There is a long posting on Tough Love if you really want to get some info on it Tough Love Plan B is only meant to be used as a LAST resort.
