Hello all- I am needing a good starting place- and was hoping that someone could give me some ideas.
My husband and I have just reconciled after a separation- both of us have been seeing separate counselors- and have had some break throughs as to what may have lead us to the point of separating. We can both see areas that need major improvement- and right now- we are working on those areas. My worries are that once the "drama" of the whole situation settles down- and we are back to a normal routine- how do we keep the effort going? We do think that a marriage "coach" is a great idea- and will look for someone in our area- but how do WE interview the doctor? What are the questions that we should ask to find out if they are a coach or a counselor? If anyone could advise me here- I would appreciate it a lot. I have missed my husband- and I love him tremendously- and I do not ever want to have to go through a separation again- so how do we keep these new feelings we have found alive?
Thanks! Optimist'y

Wow! That's great news, congratulations! My only advice would be not to let the marriage slip back into the way it was before the separation. I speak from experience that it is very easy to do. (I am separated from my H for the second time) I would definitely go to counseling and try to do fun things and spend quality time together on a regular basis. Hope everything works out for you, I know there are so many (including myself) that wish they were in your shoes!
June
