Well, me and my W went to mediation yesterday and layed everything on the table. I was informed that my evidence or lack of anything else was not substantual enough to win a custody battle. I would be waisting alot of time and money. So, we talked about me having more liberal times with the children in exchange for a reduction in CS. My two teenagers were questioned by the neutural mediator on their living preferance and they said they love us both very much but they want to stay with mom.I do not want to try to make them do anything they don't want to so I chose to let them. I questioned them myself alone and they told me the same thing. I am sort of relieved that the tension , I hope , is winding down between us and we can talk and be civil.(which has already started)I also have the option on her weekend to take the children to church myself if she is not going to. This is all good news and something I feel is vitally important to my childrens morally sound upbringing. The bad news (I guess) would be that our marriage is about to end .I know God has a plan for my life and though I have read others talk of hope of reconciliation, I too would like that but I know if it is his will for that to be it will happen in Gods time not mine.I just want to be the best christian father, friend and teacher to my children that I can be. This could very well be the rain before the rainbow!

adamv,

I'm sorry it's gone this far..

You mention you and your wife both go to church..
is there any way the two of you could go to one of the Familylife marriage seminars??

Maybe ask her if she would be willing to go?? even if it does end in divorce ask her if she would be willing to go with you...

Go to http://www.familylife.com and see if there is a seminar in your area..or ask your pastor if your church could schedule one...
