I've been struggling with exactly what to write about the Dustkitty issue.

The trouble is that there is not much I can say. Part of that is due to the issue of privacy - regardless of what Dustkitty may have said to anyone here, I am not at liberty to release any information about this person's profile or identity. I am not employed by Marriage Builders - I hate to sound like a "broken record" (for those of us old enough to remember "records") - I am a volunteer. As such, it is not up to me to decide what will or won't be done here, merely to pass the information on to the MB organization. The other part is due to the simple fact that there is no requirement for anyone to put anything but a valid e-mail address into their profile, and there simply is very little real information in anyone's profile.

I will let you know that every effort has been made to permanently ban Dustkitty from MB.

I cannot go into the profile and edit the signature - it is unethical on the one hand, and it would be foolish to obscure any evidence in the off chance that the MB organization needs to see it - tampering with evidence at the scene of the "crime" so to speak.

Neither can I post any updates or information on what is being done or has been done with regard to this situation, as it is not my place to do so.

I can offer some (not at all sage) words of advice, based on my own personal experiences on the internet:

- There is no way to guarantee privacy on an open discussion forum.
- While one must register and login to post, there is no such requirement to read; ANYONE can read any of the public forums.
- You should always be cautious about sending/posting any personal information on any public forum of any kind.

Please understand that this issue is being taken seriously, but there is not much that can be shared regarding any actions that may be taken.
