Has anyone seen this movie?? I saw it last night and it wasn't about what I thought it was, but it was very good. I don't want to tell too much but Diane Lane has gone from being the WS in her movie Unfaithful to being the BS in this movie. It isn't so much about that as it is the aftermath. And how she handles things.....well a lot of us could see ourselves in her. Even if she is doing things we wouldn't do ourselves, we may have thought about it or wanted to at one point. Good lessons I think!

I heard it was good too. I would love to see it but I am afraid I will want to move to Tuscany. It's a huge dream of mine to get to Italy.

Maybe I'm weird but I usually do like this genre of movie, the so-called 'chick flick'. I guess its because I get to cuddle with my wife while watching it and then afterwards get to discuss the points of the movie with her. She already asked me if we could go see it this Saturday (the girls will be at their mom's) and I agreed, so it's a date.

I like Dianne Lane's performance in 'Unfaithful' (in fact I like the movie a lot) and hope that she continues to get more movie offers. I also like the fact that a 40'ish actress can show the often overlooked fact that women do become more beautiful as they become older.

And lastly, and before I forget, happy B-day Adgirl. Don't eat too much cake.

LMF,
You wanting to move to Italy will be squelched when you first see her house. But then yeh, you might want to!
Thanks TMCM! Actually a perk of the "divorce diet" is that people WANT you to eat lots of cake so they don't call you a pig if you do! hahahaa. They want to see that weight put back on. I am satisfied where I am now though so I will just eat my normal amount- ummmm 3 or 4 pieces.
I would love to hear what you and your wife think of the movie so be sure to write your feedback after you watch it!
PS I actually liked Unfaithful too. I watched it before I knew my ex was unfaithful but I still thought it was a good movie!

Adgirl, how timely. I saw this movie on Wednesday with my friend. It made a big impression on me. It was that night, when I was lying awake all night (big surprise), that I decided I had had enough of the A and I wanted to investigate the option of divorce. (See my thread "I think I finally decided to divorce him.")

Diane Lane's character reminded me a bit of myself. Beautiful home, successful husband, seemed happy. NO CLUE ABOUT AFFAIR. Then the bomb gets dropped on her. Only in my case, my H told me. She turns into the weepy wife. This is where I have been for the last two months or so. Then I made the decision on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Check my thread for, as Paul Harvey says, "the resssst of the story."

Beautiful scenery, though ...

Just saw UTTTS. Excellent movie. And yes, it is nice to see a 40ish actress like Diane Lane get good parts. She defines (for me) sensuousness.

She is not unlike Catherine Deneuve, who happens to be my favorite actress of all time. She is the epitome of class and inner beauty in a woman. Not to mention that she is all wrapped up in a very impressive package.

She has to be in her 60's...and she is still gorgeous.

Be stil my beating heart.

Suebee, I will check your thread. I am glad the movie helped you think about your own things. That can be a good thing....
Good one on the Tuscon, Tuscan thing Gregg M. LOL!!!!!! Ok that is if you were kidding.
If you were serious it was Tuscany in Italy.
I think Diane Lane is beautiful too. And I liked the analogies about her house and the train tracks being built.
I felt like she felt everything I did at one time while she was expressing her feelings.

ThanksAG48. I was being neither serious nor humorous.

It was a if a zen-like conciousness had overtaken me and I was compelled to write about geography that I have only dreamed I would visit in an altered state of incredible mass confusion ,hysteria and subliminal messages from '60's television advertising. No...make that '70's TV advertising.

That combined of course, with thoughts of my ex and the delightful tortures that await her in my twisted mind.(and dungeon)
