I would suggest spending more time studying than picking out underwear for the test! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Adgirl,
Have you signed up for the test yet? Started studying? Purchased red undies? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Hoping4Best, I am going tomorrow to talk to someone who is in the market research business. I would like to find out if an MBA or an MS in Math would be a better option. Marketing or statistics? So I have not started studying yet, because I either need the GMAT or the GRE. I don't know which yet. I would like to start school in the summer or fall of 2004 though. I will definitely purchase the red undies before the test! hahaha

adgirl,
From my undergrad degree, I had a minor in statistics, and a lot of the stats classes were filled with people from marketing research.
It would be good to find out from someone in the business, that way you don't take unecessary classes. Sounds like you're on the right track.

My meeting with the person who is co-owner of a market research firm is at 10 AM tomorrow. I will let you know how it goes! (You think that qualifies for needing red undies!?)

Well the guy I went to talk to does not have any positions open, but he gave me some info on other companies who might. And he suggested I go with the MBA because I care more about marketing/human behavior than the science analysis part and I could do more with the MBA than I could with statistics. Plus the fact that he added that statistics was tough!!! hahahahahahaha. And he said it is harder to find somewhere around here to get a masters specializing in statistics. I am thinking I might need to either work part time at the bottom doing interviews or I need to get a job in advertising somewhere where they will pay tuition reimbursement and work there while getting my MBA. Either way I think I will go ahead and get prepared for the GMAT.

Sounds like you have a plan...
The person you talked to is probably right about the business route being easier. Either way it will take considerable effort to finish the degree and begin a new career.
Good luck!
