My wife has cheated on me from the beginning of a 30 year relationship. I use to blame it on her drinking and was hopefull if I could stop her drinking than it would be ok. Our son was killed about 5 years ago and since that time untill just now she quit cheating but, now shes back at it again. I have tryed treating her every way possible to stop this in the pass. Now I give up as hard as it may be. I'm sure its not our sex life alto sometimes I wonder. A friend suggested that its a compulsion and shes had a relaspe. Is there any such thing as a compulsion to cheat? She doesn't and never has really tried to be discreet about it either. I know thers something wrong with me for putting up with it. Any comments are welcome

My H and I have been together almost 5 years and married almost 2 and he's cheated right along. I've really only been aware since we've been married and under one roof.
I believe he has some sort of compulsion/ addiction.
Have you been in therapy at all either alone or together?

Oh, I'm sure it's a compulsion/addiction of some sort. She has to be suffering from some mental aberration--who in their right mind would purposely hurt their loved ones?
I can only imagine the pain MH would suffer if he knew of my A. (I've already addressed not telling him, so please, none of that here.)---The thrill of sneaking, excitement of trying not to get caught, the gratification of someone new who claims to adore you...well, it can be intoxicating. But so is alcohol and drugs...
Isn't there a 12 step program for sex addicts?
