My husband and I are just beginning the divorce proceedings. He is "friendly" with a girl from work whom I suspect may be more than a friend. SHE called me today and asked if we could get together and talk over a cup of coffee. She said she'd just like to get my side of the story.
Although I wanted to tell her to mind her own business, I told her I'd call her after I checked my schedule. My best friend suggested that my husband's "friend" probably wants to find out how my husband was with me so she can know what she's getting in to.
Should I give this girl the time of day? Should I tell her what she wants to know (does she REALLY want to know how controlling, manipulative and distant he was towards me??).
With all that's going on in my life now it's hard to think straight, so I appreciate any opinions.

I would go ONLY if you're secure enough that you won't be affected by ANYTHING she might say.
I don't know your story. Why are you getting a DV? It does sound possible that your H (husband) has been having an A (affair) with this "girl". This may be why your H has been distant 2ward you.
Anyway, welcome 2 Marriage Builders! You'll be amazed at all the wonderful, intelligent, experienced people you'll meet here!
best, -ol' 2long

Why not ask her why she needs to know your side of the story? I would guess she really wants to tell you her side of the story. It’s also possible she wants to check his story about how you two are getting divorced with you to make sure he’s not lying to her.
And as to informing woman friend or girlfriend of how your STBX really is, I’d give it a miss. It’s not like they’ll listen to you anyway.
Whether you see her or not depends on you. If you can’t be hurt by what she has to say, and you like a little drama, or are gathering experience in order to write a soap opera, by all means. To really get the fireworks going, invite your STBX to come along. The three of you can have a nice little chat.
Personally, I’d be curious, but I’d give it a miss.
Soooo, welcome! What’s your story? How did you end up here? J
