After searching on this topic, I want to know about Legal, and the state regarding this. We are christian from the Greek Orthodox church and I'm not sure how that would work. I guess it has to be legal on the state side but not too sure about the religion side.

original post...

Hello, after everything in the world I don't think my marriage is salvagable. We may be at a point where it is in our best interest to split up. Here is some background, we have only been married 7 months. We just aren't compatible together anymore and there has been problems sine before day 1. I own a house which I owned before marriage, as well as a good size of assets. We are in california and I want to know what my options are. I did some research and would ultimately like to have an annulment done, what are my rights and how does it work do you just agree upon who gets what and get the paperwork filed? how about a summary dissolusion? or uncontested divorce. I want QUICK and Painless and cheap, and I want to keep all my original assets because we haven't aquired anything together besides wedding gifts.

thanks in advance

Hi BobO,

I'm sorry to hear that you are ready to end your marriage after only 7 months.I hope you have put much thought into that and are not rushing to this outcome in any way.I'm not sure what you mean by "you're not compatible" with your wife, surely something positive brought you two to the "altar".

Since you haven't received any real "legal" advice here thus far,it may be in your best interest to seek some legal counsel on the matter, such as a consult first.I personally don't know Californias laws that well.Does your wife know that you want out quickly? Is this a joint decision? Just curious.

O
