I am in the navy and about a month and a half ago we were in port. And me and my wife had an argument. Over something stupid. And 3-4 days later while underway she e-mails me and says to call her. Well when I did she said she did'nt think we were good for each other. I had been deployed for 4.5 months at this time and with time growing nearer I was getting excited about coming home and seeing my baby (wife). We have no children. Have been married less than 2 years and the news crushed me. We have had a rocky marriage since the beginning. I have not been meeting most of her needs. And I realized that so I started making the necisary changes when I left. Except one my drinking. Well I am now in AA and I go to counseling. But I just wish I knew how I could convince her to give our marriage another chance after I return home. We will have been seperated by the deployment for six months. She still tells me she loves me.And the last couple of e-mails she has called me babe for the first time in weeks. And gets irritated if I dont call her when she wants me to. It hurts too much to hear her voice. Any advice on the subject would be greatly appreciated I will return home in 3 weeks.

ss,
It sounds like you have got a good start going with the AA and that you are recognizing your problems and are willing to work on them. Get a copy of His Needs/Her Needs by Harley.

Thank you for serving our country!
