Hello! Anyone remember me, it's been awhile! The board doesn't even remember my old name,lol. Thought I'd post an update anyway.

Finally divorced in Nov. 2002. No contact order still in effect to this day. Ex hasn't seen kids either, as he refuses to go to sex offender counseling or set up supervised visits. Kinda sad, but probly for the best. He doesn't pay child support either, so I'm trying to live on $800 a month, doesn't work very well.

But, in good news.......met a great guy in my medieval re-enactment group about 16 months ago, been dating 8 months.......and got engaged a few weeks ago! Scary but wonderful!

And that's it....in a nutshell.

[/QB]</font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">Too funny....we belong to the Society for Creative Anachronism, a group that studies and re-enacts the middle ages from the 9th to 16th centuries. We do lots of historical research and put on educational demo's for schools, etc. We also have camping events where we recreate the GOOD aspects of the middle ages.....feasts and fighting, etc. NO plague for us! My specialty is 16th century Italy.

I think the dungeons, whips and chains thing would be more S & M than SCA, lol.

Congrat to your engagement. And what a way to meet someone that you can spend the rest of your life with. Interests of both of your medieval minds.

There are groups that you can meet people that like similar things that you like. I was told this, and with Gods help, there may be a special guy out there for me. If not, I am okay with being by myself, and for my kids. I will be a great grandmother, if ever there are 2 legged grandchildren, instead of the 4 legged ones.

So exciting, and keep us updated on the wedding.

I saw the SCA back in Memphis at Audobon park doing reenactments. It was cool

Here in GA, we have a huge Midevil festival and it's so cool. Took son to it last year. Live jousting and an arena for it. Even a midevil children's playground. You can buy a leg of turkey or leg of lamb to much on..Very King Henry the VIII...lol.
