Hi friends,<p>I found a FREE series of seminars (Jan.-Apr) "Dealing with Divorce". It's at a local church. Last night 2 attorneys talked on legal issues, child custody, etc. This is just the education I need, & a fantastic support group follows each seminar. <p>Thanks again for all the help you all have been! I found a local church's ladies small group Bible Study/fellowship. When they and their pastor heard of my situation, they said "You must not be alone in this! We want to be family to you, give you hugs, etc..." This kind of support will be a blessing as I keep growing.

Thanks for your thoughts! <p>We went to H's attorney's office last Friday. I am really struggling with everything!.... Need continued prayers!<p>D is very ill and Mayo can't do anymore to help. H and his attorney know that I am DEFINITELY having my own attorney also. I'll be getting a call from her today and will meet soon.<p>H has acted like he's so open, honest, and fair with me about our finances as it relates to this divorce. However, last week, I had confronted H about something, and today he admitted I was correct and that he had been hiding that info. from me! GRRRR!!! I'm going to make him prove it all the way!!!!!!!

Looks like I'll be getting the divorce papers on Monday morning, and in the afternoon I'll be meeting with my attorney to review them. Pray for me on Monday. I hate all of this!!!<p>In the last couple days, I had moments of feeling very angry that H can't be a husband to me, that our family is dividing due to his abuse, the pain the kids will have, etc. H walked in the room both times and asked "why are you angry?" I could not answer. Is he that ignorant of the pain he's causing??? [img]images/icons/mad.gif" border="0[/img]

Why are you indulging in anger? That is a sin. <p>1. He isn't worth it.<p>2. It won't move toward saving your marriage or children or you or anything else.<p>Hope you are in some very competent counseling. You need to figure out a better response than anger.

It must have been a stage of grief; I am more peaceful now after getting out that last puff of angry smoke!.... <p>I'm so grateful that the bondage is past and I've got a new healthy life ahead of me! <p>Thanks for all the support you all have been!

Just got served the Summons this morning, then met with my attorney. <p>This all feels really strange...Getting one sick reality behind me... and beginning a new LIFE... I am beginning to get a whiff of fresh air!!!!<p>I'm starting to spend more time at the divorce part of this board now. It is helpful at this stage. <p>Thanks again to you all!!...
