Some of you know I have been in school full time and working full time..as well as full time parent to 4 young adults, trying to pick up the pieces of drug/ alcohol/ abuse/ and infidelity shattered marriage.

I am working on me.

I submitted my portfoio to get into the DMS program (ultrasound) today so please pray for me and hopefully acceptance.

I had wanted to enter radiology 28 years ago but things fell apart even back then living with this dysfunctional man. He's gone.. and now is my chance to be all I can be (In DMS..not the army LOL).

I took ACT's last week and got preliminary report in mail today. I exceeded the minimum for entrance in the program, but I dont know by how much. They hand scored them as date was late for entrance..real report will be mailed in a couple of weeks, so for now they just tell you pass or fail. I am hoping for a good grade. I already had OK SAT scores (from 30 years ago) so a better ACT score will give me some more edge as this program is very competitive. They only take 13 students..last year 250 applied. I was ranked #20..not good enough.

So I worked harder, gained some extra credits towards entrance and now I am thrown back in the pool of this years applicants.

And 1 longgggggggggggg month of waiting. This is tough!!!

I am also talking with a friend who handled the mortgage when my X and I bought this house. He is assisting me to see if I can get a mortgage for just me. One more step in my new life.

Only with God's help can I handle all this stress..so please pray for me

Thank you,
and smiles
Dawn

Sunrise,

It sounds like you are doing great for yourself. Keep the good attitude and remember that you are going to get to where you want to be.(without the Army)

Hey Dawn you go!!! My prayers are with you!!!!

You truly are something to be where you are to day and not to have let things bet you down or hold you where you didn't want to be. Truly you are an inspiration, and more of us on this board should follow the awesome example that you are setting for us and the 4 young adults in your household.

You have so let go of the x, that is great!!! It takes awhile but you are there my friend!!!

God's blessing on the month long wait!!!UGH!!!

Thanks, but that is why I need prayer. Sometimes I am so overwhelmed with stress.

Last nite before I posted I had a couple (but only a short couple) of minutes of sadness. But those imes will still come for awhile. And they leave quickly

I just have to blame it on the stress

You are doing great.
Picture yourself in the program and it will happen. Yourconfidence in yourself will be evident to all.
Keep the positive outlook as you move ahead. All the positive changes you are making are evidenced by your children, and you are showing them the way.
