Okay - - through the divorce process, you have a lot of downer days, there are bad days all the time, things happen, stress eats you up, and life gets tedious ----

But, what do you do for yourself that makes you happy and keeps you smiling when the day is done? What kinds of things make you feel like the day was good? What purpose do you persist in following? Is there a goal in your life that just really makes the rest of it not matter enough to upset your apple cart?

I have several - besides God who is always the top of the list. First, my kids - because they are the light of my day. Second, my writing - because it is just so much a part of my world. I put my thoughts on paper and peeps pay to read them - amazing! Third, my garden - it isn't perfect, but the birds adorn it with their singing (I actually saw two morning doves courting yesterday in the trees overhead), and there are numerous butterflies and creatures (yes even the skunks) who come to enjoy it... I love sharing my garden!

So - anybody else got some wonderful ideas to share? What makes you smile.

Snow, and sun and summer rain.
Anything creative including but not limited to, sewing, painting rooms, gardening, writing a kick-a** headline, reading some awesome poetry, listening to other people who have it ten times worse and never complain, plus my children when they’re playing happily.
Oh, skiing. Ice skating. Swimming. Good movies. Funny books. My friends.

Oh, LIFE in general. It’s just so… interesting.

But, I know you know that Jan.

Kids, basketball, job, living in the house I built, continual working on the house, walking through the woods, realizing how much I have.

Just Knowing that I am not going through it alone can be enough sometimes
