My wife of 5 yrs has just told me that she loves me but is no longer in love with me. She now says she wants a divorce. She however does not want me to move out of the house yet. She says we both need to be financially able to stand alone first. She has 2 daughters though biologically they arent mine they are mine. I have been with her since they were 2 and 1. I do not know where to turn. I feel like I am being tossed away like the trash. She said honestly she's never been "IN LOVE" with me but that she loves me more each day. If she never was in love with me why did she marry me. I am lost and angry. Wondering what I did or did not do.

Moondoggy, Your wife most probably was in love with you at the time. Please read the web site and get teh books, His Needs/Her Needs and LoveBusters, or Fall in Love Stay in Love. Your local library can get them.

If your wife is willing as her to fill in the Emotional Needs questionnaire and the Love Busters Questionnaire. Go to the first thread on the Emotional Needs board for links. If she's unwilling to fill them in, drop it. You can fill them in as if you were her. After all, you've been living with you, so you know her pretty well.

Next, you immediately stop all love busters. This is teh absolute first step. The other steps can't happen if you don't create a safe environment where she trusts that you have her best interests at heart.

So, how long have you two been married and how old are you? Was she married before?
