I'll try to keep this as short as possible. I've been married for 11 years to a man who is in the Air Force. In January, he left for a remote assignment, 1 year in Korea. We've been keeping in touch daily. He has been sending me wonderful, loving emails and notes. When we talk on the phone he tells me how much he loves me and misses me.....Then BAM - yesterday he tells me that he hasn't been in love with me for the past 3 years and all of the things he has said and written to me is a lie. The reason he lied, according to him, is because he didn't have the guts to get out of the marriage so he just kept me believing everything was fine! He was supposed to come home in July for a 1 month visit and said now he's not coming. I asked him to reconsider and just come home and see if there is any way to save our marriage. He said he would think about it and let me know. I realize I sound pathetic but I can't see throwing away 11 years without at least giving it a try. I don't believe he doesn't love me but that just may be my way of making myself feel better or just plain denial! Please, any thoughts on this?

I don't have any thoughts right off, but I do send lots of hugs. There are several military spouses on teh Emotional Needs board and it sees a lot more action during the weekend. But something about being a military wife in your subject line and that should get people's attention.

I'm so sorry.

Thanks for the hugs, I really need them right about now.
I re-posted it in the emotional needs and added military wife.
