There is an article written by Richard Trubo, some of you may have read this, entitled The Changing Face of Fatherhood, reviewed by Michael Smith, MD. The article brings out some great points that may be helpful to your attorney if you are a male seeking custody. Kyle Pruett, MD, clinical of psychiatry at Yale Medical School and the Yale Child Study Center, in the article says that "fathers are the single greatest untapped resource in the lives of America's children."

Also, and I think this is key (at least in my case) the article stated that "Though dads can do just fine raising daughters on their own, they should try and ensure that there are women in the child's life who can be healthy role models...These women can be friends or relatives who the daughters can talk and relate to".

Amen to that! I wonder if they’d let a mother join a father’s advocacy group? Fathers are under-appreciated, and under-utilized.

It is, but it is surprising how many people are ignorant to this.
