I cant believe this man I have been dating for for last 5 months has probably been lying to me all along.
This was not a serious relationship, however the deceit hurts. I have been lied to too much througout my whole 26 year marriage. [ August 30, 2004, 08:05 AM: Message edited by: sunrise1 ]

Sorry you're sad. One thing I did not look forward to when I left my ex was returning to the dating game. Don't let someone else determine YOUR happiness, okay? All it means is someone better is out there for you. :}

Thank you for the big hug. I really need lots of them right now.
Im not positive, but I think that he started seeing someone else that he met on a one-nite stand dating site. Thius was not what I expected from him.
I am glad I ended things now, rather than later. It was just so out of the blue. We were companionable, but not in love. I just still expected honesty.
I think I am more angry at my X, rather than my boyfriend beause it wasnt supposed to be like this. [ August 30, 2004, 08:08 AM: Message edited by: sunrise1 ]

I'm sorry you're hurting. <peeling you back up off the pavement and dusting you off for another try> I'm reminded of that video game, Frogger. You can do it, girl, dodge those trucks and aim for the side with the green grass!! You'll get there.

(((()))))) I am so sorry hon.
And after the awful ending to what should have been a fairy tale, you think you'll meet Prince Charming and alas, instead another frog emerges.
That's the trouble with frogs. Unreliable.
And I know what it's like. I briefly dated a guy who used to live in my old subdivision and I thought he had definite Mr. Right tendencies so I allowed my guard to go down. Was very disappointed. And that's ok. Then went out with a guy I knew from college and he got too controlling too fast. Then in between all of this dated the Hilltop Neighbor guy who was also from my old hometown and had mutual friends with me. Got too possessive and on last date tried to make a move I was not ready for at all. So that was three frogs down. But don't give up hope.
Take a breather and do something nice for yourself. Get a manicure or take a bubble bath. Do something for YOU. Last week I sent to , ironically a guy, one of our MB Buds a book to help him gain insight into the intricacies of post divorce and new world dating..."How to Find a Husband after 35"...uses Harvard business school marketing techniques and sales techniques to help out your dating sitch. In the book it says to allow downtime but unless they are moving definitely towards a committment to NOT STOP dating other people. Not until it's a done deal. Eggs in one basket scenario. And I am trying myself not to do that.
Heck I go out and buy that book a few mos. ago when my d was finally final and apply principles and turns out the guy (frog with definite prince tendencies)turns out to be somebody under my nose for the last 7 months. Go figure.
Have a good cry. Put on sad music. But be glad that it happened NOW rather than LATER as we have all been thru here. Better find out that frog has rat tendencies (cheating) now than after another graceful and stylish walk down the aisle. I am only gonna do that one more time btw..
You're a princess and don't sell yourself short on a darn ratty frog ok? They say frog giggin' is good down here in GA.

Thanks Lucks and Peachy
I realize his problems are his. If he wants to lie and deceive, he is the one who will answer to it. And eventually probably be the loner.
His W cheated on him, but I think he left the marriage before that. I know that she complained that when he got his computer was the end of their marriage.
I think he started surfing and finding excitement where he should have been finding that with his wife. I think with my last couple of weeks of exams and studying he found alot of time on his hands, so he went searching for that excitement again??
I had been contemplating ending this friendship several times over the last couple of months. He did some dishnest things with his tax and bankruptcy status that I wasnt happy with.
I have a lot on my plate to deal with at this time anyway. I dont need someone who I have to second guess in my life. I had enouygh of that.
In the fall I will have an extremely heavy school load. I have to take chemistry as well, and that frightens me a little as I havent had chem since HS. Being a floral designer in my day job requires a heavy work load with the approaching holidays.
I have an apt with my GYN next thur and I am sure he is going to want me to schedule a hysterectomy. So I have that to deal with as well
Thanks for your support [ August 30, 2004, 08:13 AM: Message edited by: sunrise1 ]
