This may vary a little by state, but I'll give it a shot.

*Copy of will if you have one.
*All assetts and liabilities, whether held jointly or individually. Bank accounts, loans, credit cards, furniture, jewelry, cars, etc.
*Anything you have to support your grounds, if you are filing with grounds. If no-fault, then this is moot. EXCEPT:
* If there was misconduct that was expressly harmful to the children (if you have any) then information supporting this would be helpful
*yours and spouses Social Security numbers
*any prenups that exist
*other contracts that you and/or spouse are obligated to

That's all I can think of. Do yourself and your wallet a favor. Read up on divorce law in your state and know what the state mandates are. Do not waste your $250/hr Lawyer fees on stuff you can find out yourself. Have a framework in mind. If your spouse is in agreement that a D is inevitable, the two of you can begin to work out an agreement before you see a lawyer. It will save you a lot of cash to go in there as well prepared as possible.

Sorry your M is not working, and good luck.
