I didn't realise how alone it is I am in life! My YD is with her dad for 5-6 weeks and my other two kids are married and on their own. I've got the dog but she is 9 yo so she won't be around forever.

I went to a fundraising dinner with my parents tonight, I was bored, decided I didn't really want to hang out with them.

My friend was going to the bar to listen to my brother do his open mic thing, that didn't sound good either.

Just a little unsettled I guess, I have a hard time for a day or two when my D leaves.

But tonight I just seem overwelmingly BORED!!! UGH!!! I've got things that I need to do, just don't want to I guess!!!

What is it that you do when you find yourself bored? Please share maybe something will inspire me to move away from the computer screen. I haven't even turned the tv on for background noise. I've always done that!!! I went away to camp with D earlier and didn't have any tv for a week and I could have in the dorm that I was staying in and didn't.

Oh well, bedtime will come soon!!!!

I know you are/was a floral designer so you have some creative ability. Do you have a hobby???? I am bored sometimes and I tackle a project I have been putting off. Recently I have been cleaning my basement UGGGHHHHHHH but............
I have been finding some wonderful forggoton treasures..some things I am getting rid of..but some projects, unfinished because I was babysitting an alcoholic I put aside to finish them in the near future. I am almost done with the cleaning. And the big advanyage is I am getting rid of the last of my X in the house.

Take up a new hobby with those creative talents..learn crochet..you have a baby on the way to supply with all those great grandma things..start with a blanket, they are EASY!!! and turn out so pretty. Easy and quick, and you end up with something beautiful that your friends (and especially your daughter) will say WOW!!!!! this is great Its SO BEAUUUUUUTiful!!..Will make you feel great!

I have a basement full of art stuff..want me to mail you some to get you started?????

I revisited my past this weekend, summer camp where I lived, grew up at and also worked at for several years. I renewed friendships with old friends of my parents who live in the retirement home there, and not only were they thrilled with the 2 day visit, but i came away so renewed!!!! I had such a wonderful time and I felt so loved. AND I found out they forgave me for cutting their daughters waist length hair into a shag (their daughters idea totally) in the 70's!! LOL not only had they forgiven me..they had forgotten about it. we had so much fun. I feel ready to face the rest of my life after that short renewal

so let me know what youd like..Ill mail you a pick me up package!! seriously, I work in a craft store and get huge discounts..almost free for samples...that is if I dont already have it in my basement, then it would be free.
Ill come visit and teach you how to crochet, how is that?

Thanks, I don't need you to send me any more stuff to add to the stuff I have to clean out!!!LOL!!! I just always have a hard time for the first day or two after Tes leaves. Slept til 10 this morning! That was nice!!! I have a list of things to accomplish while Tes is gone, so will start on it after lunch today. I do crotchet and have one blanket almost done, am also doing a quilt for the baby. Also have a den/spare room to decorate, a basement to finish cleaning up, and a garage to sort out. I plan on building on to my house next summer and my garage now will become my kitchen.

So there is lots to do, just bored and didn't want to start on any of the projects right yet. I was kind of hoping for some fun while Tes was gone not just all work. Am planning to hit the BIG craft festival next weekend and then the same night hit Deadwood and a free concert of the Neville brothers. Maybe it was a little romance that I was hoping for!!!Am not sure!!! My friend Sandy's kids are with her x til next week so will do some girls nights out I am sure!!!!

Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions, the offer to mail me stuff was great!!! I loved working at Michaels for the very reason of discounts!!! I did get to help with a wedding at church last weekend, everyone said how nice things looked, so have been thinking if I want to go back into the wedding consulting business, have also been contemplating home daycare so that my grandchild won't be in someone elses care, I could pretty much do the two things together. But I 've always been scared of not making it and failing!!! So don't jump in! Keep telling the daughter the is prego if she could talk her dad into retiring I could afford to do homedaycare!!! (I get half of his miltary retirement) Sure would make the decision easier!!!

Anyways! How is your summer going? I was thinking of you this morning as I have to go out and mow and I have an acre to do, I remember that you to have a big lot!!!

How's my summer going? God certainly works in strange ways!!!!!!

I broke up with the man I was seeing for about 9 months. He was great to me, and in a way I did love him, but not enough to carry it to another level. Then I found that he was not the person that I thought he was and it made it easier to end things with him.

One month later things are certainly different!!!

I told you I went to that camp where I used to work. While I was there the old friends that I knew gave me a slip of paper with a mans phone# and address on it.

This was a guy that I had a crush on when I was 12, and then started dating when I was about 15. I of course was young, and he lived quite a distance (100 miles) away so I ended things with him and started dating a local guy. I always regretted it. Things didnt last long with the local guy, and the next (and last)time I saw 100 mile guy, he had a date on his arm, I was jealous but it was my fault.

I have thought of him so many times over the last 30+ years, and always with warm thoughts and I could not go to this camp without reflecting on this guy.

I am not kidding you......I was thinking of this guy, and lo and behold this woman friend tells me he stopped in the very week before and she told him I was coming and he gave her his info and stressed that she give it to me.

Well, I paced around. Wanted to call him but didnt know if he was married. I wouldnt call him cause I didnt know, so I opted for the e-mail option with just some basic info and left the ball with him.

Turns out he is divorced and has also been thinking of me throughout these years. He emailed me right away, and called me tonite. I think we talked for 2 hours! I was thrilled to hear his voice (even with his funny 100 mile away accent) You know where I live, so I guess you can figure where he lives.

Well, lets see where this goes..one day at a time. Sorry to hi-jack. you asked and I had to share as I am too excited now to sleep!

Hey Dawn that sounds awesome, how romantic!!!! You do always wonder about that one special person!!! It's too bad my x had to act on his!!!!

I seen that special guy a few months back when I went home for my cousins baptism and I pinched the baby so that I could get up, and this guy was standing in the back of church and I said HI!!! He had just had a baby the month before and I had found out that I was going to be a grandma, so I made some comment about him having one of these little things and said that I was going to be g-ma and he laughed and said that he wasn't that old!!! UGH that hurt!!!

Now I am jealous! I seen church guy at board meeting tonight, he looks at me but will not talk to me, I know it's that he is shy, but so am I!!! I just want the excitement of someone new in my life!!
