Laura-Lee where is the bowing icon when you need it.... Myself, I'm celebrating day # 1,187....

Now about this 7-year thingy, Are you sure it ain't 3 years? Maybe after 3 years you become a born-again-virgin and after 7 you reach of penacle of Re-Virginization.........

Hi LH,

Well, in terms of days - it's sounds like such a long time, a very long time... such a very long time...

"oh!" (she talks to herself), "focus on the goal... focus on the goal... you can make it... the GOAL!... you can make the goal!!"

I checked 7 years x 365 days - 2,555 days. I'm 59 days from goal. It's been -- 2,496 days.

Yes, yes, yes... I think a bowing icon is called for.

<img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Would anyone like to challenge my title? Any contenders out there? Or am I, Laura Lee, the MODEL... of re-virgination?

About that 3 year mark, LH, I had no such born-again experience. Is it a guy thing?

See ya,

L

"""I had no such born-again experience. Is it a guy thing?"""

Actually it's a woman thang, REALLY it is. I decided I was going to see if I could find some witty come-back and typed in "born again virgin" on a web search.

Y'all women take that pretty seriously now. There were books, clubs, and cults on how us men have robbed you of a gift.... I guess I gotta watch what I joke about..... Geez...

Don't forget that 2000 & 2004 were leap years so you get to add 2 more days!

2028 days for me. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
If I'm "virgin", what do I tell my kids?!?
Wait! How canI have kids if I'm "virgin"?!?!

Hey LH,

You haven't "robbed" anyone of that gift... at least for the last 1,187 days! lol

As far as men "robbing" women of that gift... wait just a minute here.

If I have a gift... and I give it away... is it fair to say that the person I gave the gift to "robbed me"? I don't think so.

I'm all for chastity. However, women these days have real issues. Here's why. Men have always been driven by their physical senses. In the "good ole days"... respectable women said "no"... in order to be respected.

Nowadays, there are all these affairs going on, men don't "have" to get married anymore to have sex, and it's just plain ridiculous.

Yes, men are responsible for their own behavior.

But I would like to see a movement by women returning women to "good ole day" values. Blaming men because men "robbed them" of their gift? Get real. Take personal responsibility... and quit having sex with men who aren't married to you... especially, when they're married to someone else!!

Wow! Re-virginization may become a platform for me for a new women's organization!! lol

You can joke with me, LH. I won't male-bash a man who has succeeded in reaching the 3 year mark! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Chris...

Leap years towards re-virginization? I'm at what then, 2,498 days? whoa!

I guess it's something we can't explain to our minor children.

It's RE-virginization.

2028 days? That's a very long time.

I'd laugh... but I'm at nearly 2500.

Oh well. At least we have values... and aren't contributing to the ruin of civilization as we know it... by tearing at the fabric of civilized society... marriage... by engaging in sex outside of marriage.

Anyone who has sex before or outside marriage is chipping away at the solidity of the institution of marriage.

It's got to stop!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

The almost, really get close now, re-virginized...

</strong></font><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I agree with this!!! TOTALLY!!

I've been outta the country for a few weeks...what ARE you guys talking about? Re-Virginization...I don't think so....

It's a nice thought....but from what I've read about it, it just sounds like another way to get away with what we want before marriage, then get "revirginized" before the wedding to make ourselves feel good. That doesn't sound like personal responsibility!

Actions have consequences and if you've have sex, well the consequences are that you aren't a virgin anymore! End of story.

Why not just say you've abstained or are celebate for X number of days? Do we really need another "term" that doesn't really mean anything floating around out there?

Am I missing something?

Hello dearhearts and gentle-people:

For those un-initiated to the Re-Virgination process, I believe a brief explanation is in order:

When a WS leaves a BS, the BS is thrown into a lifestyle that involves little or no sex--and not at their choosing. Oftentimes, the WS is getting some, and if the BS applies MB theories (Plan A, Plan B) and tries for the two years that is recommended and then has at least another year of struggling through a divorce, that can be THREE YEARS without any sexual contact! haha <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Sooooo...by way of some "tongue-in-cheek" discussion, we decided that after an extended length of time being celebate, that BS's (and WS's that try to reconcile with spouses who won't take them back) who go for an extended period of time can once again claim the right of being Re-Virginated!

I myself am on Day 952 (two hours, thirteen minutes--heehee).

Now, my fellow Re-Virginizers...as I understand it, becoming a Re-Virgin is like becoming a nun or brother. After the first year, you are a dedicated student of Re-Virginity. After the second year, you are an initiate of the Sisterhood or Brotherhood of Celebacy. After the third year, you are given your Re-Virginized name and you get the wear the penguin suit or brown gunnysack outfit...but you have to have that bowl haircut and you are a novice Re-Virgin. After year four, you are a more senior Re-Virgin Sister or Brother...perhaps by then playing guitars on airplane flights to sick childen or leading large families into the mountains, for example. Finally, by year five, you are named the Mother Superior of the Sisterhood of Re-Virgin Celebacy--or the Father-Brother of the Brotherhood of Re-Virgin Celebacy.

I hope this clears up all your questions. For any further clarification, please refer to:
www.Sisterhood-of-Celebacy.com.

I just want to know how you celebrate something like this? When I turned 21 I got drunk <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

I made it to 5 years, 4 months, and some odd days. I have a friend whose women's group declared that you got your virginity back after 5 years.

At three-years, it's a chainmail belt...at five years, it's the low-grade metal belt is put on but you get to keep the key...at seven years it's cast-iron and you swallow the key.

PARTY ON!!

Now you folks really have me going, I don't understand any of this.

All this talk of losing and regaining virginity is confusing to those of us out here on the park bench. Why you may wonder? Well, it is really very simple, once having lost one's virginity, who ever wanted it back? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Embarrassed]" src="images/icons/blush.gif" />

You guys are all kidding but there actually was a condition described in medical literature somewhere as a demi virgin. Had to do with the fact that certain muscles atrophy and things tighten up after long periods of time without sexual activity. I think the medical term for it was lackanookie. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

OK..LL..did you say there is a male and female classification for this title?

My new fiance is at 11 years. 5 years celibacy during end of marriage from May 1993 and then 4 years seperation from Oct 98, divorce in may 2003. I cant even figure how many days that is.

We have decided to abstain until we are married, maybe another year <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

Oh man...I'm barely an infant!

I don't remember when my first day to start counting was, but I know it was before Christmas. Something like 234 days...

2,500 days? That makes me dizzy just to think about! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="images/icons/shocked.gif" />

And this is getting the cart WAY before the horse because I'm not even D at this point, but if it does go through, and if I ever, ever am fortunate enough to find someone else, I do intend to wait (unlike last time) until I'm married.

It's sort of sad how making that statement causes bursts of laughter to most people in the world today. My own sis told me I'd have to lighten up, and a coworker a couple days ago said, "couple beers...that'll change your mind".

Well, my dear lordslady,

Would you care to put in your application to become a student of the Sisterhood of Celebacy?? We have a wonderful openning in your area for a new Re-Virgin! heehee <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

Of course, as the newbie you'd have to wear the beanie hat with the spinners on it...but you don't mind that right?? We could throw you a welcome party with LostHusband's long, pointy balloons of various colors (some of which glow in the dark and have tickly things on them!). <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

BTW, have they told you about CHOCOLATE yet? It's in the bible, I'm pretty sure!

HAHA!!!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />

Re-thinking. I DO want to be re-virginized. I'm holding to the 7 year rule. 7 is the number of perfection biblically.

But I DON'T want to join any "spinster" sorority!

I'm becoming... willing to negotiate. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

Is there an opening for North Carolina? I'm at 885 days which pales in comparison to you old timers! Fortunately I'm only separated and not divorced, so hopefully my number will only increase as time goes on! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="images/icons/tongue.gif" />

And I agree with Lordslady in that it's sad that most people in the world today think it's freaky to not be bed-hopping.

Now if you're Re-virginized, and you get devirginized (due to second marriage, of course) then what does that make you? (can't wait to hear the answers on this one!)

<img border="0" alt="[Teary]" title="" src="graemlins/teary.gif" /> is how I came here, and a pretty bummed out mood...then read this. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> is what I left with!

Thanks...I sure needed a lift today.

I think I'd look great in it! One with bright-colored stripes and a red spinny-thing.

I'm sort of scared of those balloons of LostHusband's that you refer to though....

I’m a child at heart and used to spend quite a bit of time jesting in the Kingdom. Our fair Princess kept the neatest balloons locked in her night stand.

There where long ones, short ones, clear ones, white ones, red ones, and some of them even had bumps all over them. The coolest thing about them was, of course, that they came in little square packages with built-in hand lotion. After an evening of blowing up balloons my hands were as soft as a babies bottom.
