I hate being here. First let me give you background. WH had an A while I was 6 months preg. DD is now 17 months. WH claimed he tried to make M work. It was during the time I didn't know about OW. WH has went back and forth several times. He comes to me yesterday and says he wants a D.
I am so hurt and upset. I love him, but I can also say that I see him for the selfish idiot that he is. I was willing to try because i do love him, but also because I believe family is important for children. WH says he is not happy with me. I'm not sure if he is going to OW or not.

Part of me thinks that this is for the best because he does not treat me the way I should be treated, but it doesn't make it any easier. I am seeing a good counselor, but how do I work thru the hurt and rejection? Did anyone else feel that their life was over when it happened to them? I mean I will always be a wonderful mother and that is a lot, but I'm 31 and I feel that maybe from this point on I will be alone. I know that isn't necessarily rational thought, but it is what I am thinking. I mean what young man my age wants a premade family??
Did I mention that I am pregnant?? Only a month or so. I haven't told my WH. He was ready to leave me and our DD so a baby won't change things. And I don't want it to. If he can't love me, than a new baby will only keep him here a little longer and I'll be right back in the same boat.

Also when a WH leaves, do I have to worry about the expensive things that he removes from the house??? Also I don't even want to be nice to him now. He is trying to be considerate, but he just walked out on us. I am so bitter. Please help me understand my feelings.

If you are set on a divorce...then definitely worry about anything your WH removes from the house. Get the divorce or separation papers filed and have an injunction or hold put on removing anything from the house. Then have the division of property as part of the divorce settlement. If he takes anything out before filing...he may well get to keep it...including monies in bank accounts!

I'm not set on the D, but he seems to be. I guess i do need to see an attorney though to protect myself.
I think I'm either getting numb or I am becoming more comfortable with the idea of a D. I protected him so long by not telling anyone what was happening. As I am starting to tell people my story, I am seeing more and more that I deserve better than what i was getting. It is so hard though because I know that I love him
