Any advice to get my wife back? The short story...my wife left me because her mother told her she and I did some things together which didn't happen. Her dad told me that the reasons she left was: she was unhappy, she heard rumors, and her mom and I slept together. She left two months ago and hasn't said a word to me since. She never confronted me simply taking her mom's word for it. I later found out through her family members that her mom now claims rape! People that have talked to my wife try to pass some logical questions to her like why didn't her mom press charges. She answers that question saying her mom said time ran out (yet we have been married for three years). The stories of adultery and rape stink and most people know it. Currently, I have filed for divorce in one state since she and the rest of her family live in a different state. She has not helped out with any of the joint bills. She thinks since she left everything with me she's no longer responsible to pay. The courts have a surprise for her in the coming weeks. I need help. I know as long as she's in her mom's control, I don't have much of a chance. A twist to the story is her mom and dad finalize their divorce this month. HELP!

Take a lie detector test and have the results sent to your wife. There is likely much more going on for a MIL to claim something so severe. Good Luck.

Great suggestion! It would help to know, though, exactly what I am being accused of. I want to sue her mom but money is tight trying to solely pay joint bills along with a divorce lawyer. I need to take one thing at a time. Unfortunately, I'm afraid I'll be divorced long before I can go after her mom. To the looks of things the divorce will be less then pleasant and I feel my wife's hurt and anger will be only compounded going through the divorce. What can I do in the meantime?
