I was a pastor until recently becuase I committed adultery on my wife I resigned. I am getting professional couseling and sitting under men of God to recieve healing and restoration. However my wife has filed for divorce, and I don't want it I have ask her to wait but she says she had already given me a chance and wants a divorce. WE have 1 child together and I have a 12 year old and a 8 year old form a previous marriage in mwhich my wife was killed in a car wreck. I don't know what else to do but pray and trust in the Lord to tell her not to divorce me. She has said that God has not told her to divorce me but He also has not told her to divorce me. I need prayer and advice on what to do next. I have written her and shared my heart with her. I know what I did is very wrong and serious but I also do not think divorce is the answer.

Hello!
I am not good at giving advice, but I wanted to let you know that I feel for you. God bless you, I know how you must be hurting. I only know that all of my answers have come from God, if I keep searching and asking and praying, he will answer. I wish we could speed up God's timing, but we can't. Sometimes it takes a while to accomplish what God wants. I know that he has all of the answers and he only wants good things for us. Keep praying! Don't give up! I believe that we all deserve 2nd chances! I want to know that you are in my prayers. God bless! Keep us updated. I will try to respond again. I don't know if any of this helps, but God has always helped me, even if it is just to give me some kind of peace about the whole thing.....

Thanks for the encouragement I am for the first time in a long time very afraid of losing everything. I know I brought all of this on myself because of my sin but I know God does not want this divorce but I have to shut up and trust my Father to handle His daughter ( my wife) in His own time and His own way.!!
