We need a little prayers to get through some rough spots here.

Ex is in the middle of purchasing a house..right down street from me..even suprise of all his family is amazed that he would stoop so low to buy a house so close to me...his response was.."we saw it and liked it"..He had to ask realtor to "SEE" homes in that area in order to "SEE" that house and like it.

Where he was living with crotch cricket previously was on opposite side of town..now any store, post office or bank I go to has the potential of me or children running in to him and his "new" family. He keeps pressuring the kids to come over for dinner..they have all said..no way

He also has been hounding me and my fiance about him finding a job in this area. He has approached him several times about friends of mine who could possibly find him a job. When we were married he wouldnt give my friends the time of day, and in typical alcoholic dyfunction style, ostracized me from them..they werent drinkers..so they werent important to him, but now he brings up my friends like they are old friends of his. Anything if it benefits him (no more alimony)

we are not ready to marry yet and he is getting pushy. He has called my cell phone three times in the past week to tell me of job fairs for my fiance.

On the other hand my daughter (19) is still reeling from the divorce, she has accepted my new love and gets along great, Ex cant understand how she can accept this and not his OW...He thinks the playing field is all level since I am now happy..we should all be friends. The 3 DUI's, the abuse and embarassment and affair with someone young enough to be her sister, who was even a newlywed!!! OW even called me at work several times and threatened me and I had to go to police and file report..sounds like a level field to me.

Her best friend was recently diasnosed as bipolar and she is having serious problems further upsetting my daughter. My daughter really should see a therapist but has resisted so far, originally she approached me about it, but hasnt done anything with the phone number I gave her.

My youngest son (17) is also under alot of stress. His friend died in a serious car accident the other day, the funeral was yesterday and he has been exhibiting some behavior problems (minor, but out of character for him).

The stress is getting to us all, so as I said, please say a little prayer for us. This has been a real rough week
Thanks,
Dawn

Dawn,

I'm not big on the praying but I'll put one in for you and your kids.

[[[[[[Sun]]]]]]---You really are having some real bumpy times...more pain....more heartache. I will pray for you and your kids. Grief is pretty tricky and your son seems to be on overload...1st family loss and then his friend.

Also your daughter doesn't need unstable friendships at this point in her life. She needs friends that are there for her and ones she can have some fun with.

I really feel for you. It is not bad enough that your family is torn to pieces but you have to have contact and close encounters with x and ow. That would be more stress than I would want to deal with.

I am discovering that the contact with stbx just pulls me down or causes such conflicting feelings that are so hard to deal with (am noticing that is true for others in this forum). I am beginning to think the less contact the better.

Try to keep your distance and detach from xh.

I hope next week is better.

Nasty of you Ex. Obviously, he's trying to regain control of you and yours. Ugh.

Giving him a little benefit of the doubt, maybe he just wants to be near the kids. But, I find him trying to help get your fiance a job bizarre at best.

Thanks for your prayers. Thius week was much better. I had also been praying tht their mortgage didnt go through and I was criticized by some. I didnt wish bad on them, just praying that they would find a house somewhere else.

apparently they moved into their house on monday, so that is that. I just hope I dont run into them anywhere.

ex did his first no show for a visit with my son on sunday. since he moved out 2 years ago, the extent of spending time with my son has been just about pizza (45 minutes) on sunday nite..with an occasional longer visit..usually to take him to my former MIL to do work around her house. This sun he didnt show or call. my son finally broke down and had a piece of bread while he was waiting to go out for pizza and then hour later i called and ordered one since everyone else had already eaten

my daughter seem to be alittle better but still seems depressed. I will be touring a new college with her this weekend so we will be spending a little time again just me and her.

thanks for your thoughts and prayers.
Smiles,
dawn

I really empathize because of the alcoholic BS on top of everything else. I really feel for your kids since I know what STBXH's son went through when his father moved in with MOW (married only 6 months to one of stepson's friends!), then cut off all contact with his son. Stepson committed suicide on June 13. It wasn't STBXH's fault, stepson shared his father's addictions, but stepson adored his dad and couldn't understand the rejection.

STBX (The "S" in this case stands for "someday" not "soon" since it's going on 4 years already) has same trouble as yours breaking away and understanding why everyone is disgusted with him and conveniently blames it on me - a pattern I'm sure you can relate to.

I will definitely say a prayer for you and especially your kids - we can survive and move on, but he'll always be their dad.

Thinking of you.

Dawn - speaking from experiencing having to look at the OW (she lives next door to me) - it can be torture that is for sure... but just look the other way - and keep in mind you were there first - don't let them know that it bothers you at all.... Hopefully you will not have to see them that much...

Thank you Maw..I have read many of your posts and you are amazing that you can stand strong with the OW living right next door to you.

The area they selected is not the best in regards to the quality of families "populating" that elementary school and that is a shame for the OW's daughter who has been caught up in this whole mess as well. I dont know what his reason for selecting so close to here, his reason to his family was to be close to kids, but he doesnt see any of them except youngest for 45 minutes for pizza 1X/week

Lets Try...yeah, we have been on a parallel path. I hope and pray that things work out for you as it seems they are for me. I /we will still have so many rough spots for the rest of our lives.

Things have been really great with me and my new/old love LOL, I just cant believe that everything else has to be so messed up for us to be together, so many families, souls, hearts, children have been ripped apart by wayward spouses

Smiles,
Dawn
