My husband left my daughter and I about 3 wks ago. He is not having an affair but very distant and somewhat depressed. When he left he said he needed to find himself. He felt hollow inside and that nothing in life gives him satisfaction. He is aggressive when I try to talk about us and hesitant to make any commitment with our daughter. I want to make this marriage work but I feel he has totally shut the door on us. Any suggestions?
He keeps wanting to have legal separation paper drawn up. I feel this is will direct us to a divorce. When a man is pushing for legal separation papers is he pushing towards divorce? I did meet with a very good lawyer who felt it was too early for such steps.

I'm not saying he is but how do you know?
Especially when they try to rush things like this, it's usually best to delay as best you can.
This lets them see what they are doing with a clearer head as opposed to whatever the reason is they are wanting to rush it through.
