And I am doing pretty darn well!!! Thank you very much!!!
I am honoring my x's request for no contact of any kind from me. He doesn't want me to send pics of kids or grandson, that is depending on me to much. (I am the only one with a camera, but anyways) X's is back in Korea remote for a year.
He calls house once a week usually about the same time, I don't or won't even answer the phone.
I am a person that has always done whatever it is I wanted anyways, and probably would have continued sending the pics and stuff and just decided why? Why should I? He obviously doesn't want them or appreciate them or the effort that I put into it. This was something that was hard for me, he could be stupid as far as I was concerned but I didn't think that he should miss out on pics and stuff. And now that truly is on him, he would have to beg me to send him a pic of one of the kids or grandson.
Grandson was baptized today @ church and I taped the whole thing our YD was the godmother. Took lots of pics afterwards and could have very easily sat down here and e mailed them to him, but I didn't, why should I waste my time?
This has taken a long time for me to get here, I still wanted him to be a good dad and as I look back, I did a really good job making him into a good dad, he never really had to do much, I set things up for him to be the good dad. A friend pointed that out to me a few weeks ago and it wasn't til today when I realized that myself. Wow!!!
Is it ok for me to stil feel sorry for him and for what it is he is choosing to miss? But now I don't care that he is missing it, that's on him. I would have included him like today by sending the photo's and other stuff. But why should I?
Anyways this is a nice place to be after two years, where will the next year take me? I wonder!!!!!
Take care all, Love Dawn <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="images/icons/smile.gif" />

A D no matter how long ago it took place, doesn't change the love you had and probably still beats in your heart. Don't run away from your feelings. That is the self deception ALL WS's confuse with reality.

Wow... 2 yrs since your D, huh? It's been 2 yrs now since I left my H for the shelter. I know all too well how things have changed since then! I think in BOTH of our situations, it's all been for the better! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
Congratulations on the baptism of your grandson. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" /> The first sunday in Advent... that'll be easy to remember each year. (I had my 3 baptized together on mother's day in 2003.. it makes that day even more special).
I can TOTALLY relate to your keeping the R alive by sending pics and such. I took on that role in my M too, with the H AND IL's. But that has come to a screeching halt since leaving my H. If any of them want to know anything about the boys, they'll have to ask themselves. They get no freebies from me. LOL.
It's been 2 yrs now... so I'm thinking of easing it up a little bit, and sending the IL's a pic of the boys and I, along with our Christmas letter. I might only send the pic though. I haven't decided yet. LOL.
I'm glad to "hear" how great you're sounding. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
Happy Holidays sweetie! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="images/icons/grin.gif" />
