My exH called at 6:30 am this morning and left a message that there was a package for the kids in my mailbox. We got it, opened it, and inside were 5 movies (opened), such as Van Helsing, The Forgotton, Alien vs Predator, etc. Now, our kids are 9, 11, and 13 and we don't let them watch these kinds of movies.
Once again I'm flabbergasted at his audacity in just coming by the house and dropping this stuff off. You can bet he'll ask the kids how they liked the movies.

Well, I can tell you this much, in the future, I'd screen the packages in private before I told the kids about them.
And if he asks the kids and they ask you, you can always remind them of the movie guidelines in your house...
All in all, pretty sleazy.

Isn't it ILLEGAL for someone to put something in your mailbox?
Report it.

report it? hadn't thought of that......
As to the movies; we tend to watch them as a family, so if my 9 yr old can't watch it, nobody can. My 13 yr old has seen Van Helsing in the theater, but it's virtually impossible for one person to watch a movie alone the way our house is set up. My husband and I sometimes watch movies after the kids are in bed; but we prefer to own movies that we can all watch together. My ex used to watch movies no matter who was around and so many times I used to take my toddles upstairs and read to them while he watched a violent gory movie alone.
