SEX ADDICT, ALCOHOLIC, DRUG ADDICT, ANY ADDICT - Dr. Harley's "His Needs, Her Needs" doesn't work with an addict. In the "Other Topics" there is an article on Drug and Alcohol addiction and Dr. Harleys states that the addiction needs to be resolved before applying his approach. He was talking about drug and alcohol addicts, what about sex addicts as well -- or any kind of addict? I'm married to an addict. I tried for five years to make Dr. Harley's approach work. All I was doing was enabling the addict. Dr. Harley, why didn't you put in bold letters at the front of your book "If you or your spouse is an addict, this book will not work for you.”? Is there anyone else out there with some comments on having tried the "His Needs, Her Needs" approach with a spouse dealing with an addiction?
