I am considering divorce, but this issue is what keeps me from filing. I know there are many good fathers out there that don't get to have the time with there children that they deserve, but my H is not one of them. I would worry about my children if they were with him unsupervised.
My question is to those who have dealt with child custody issues. How bad of a parent does one have to be to only get supervised time with children? How does one prove this?

I worried too, and some people actually become better parents without their X's scrutiny.
From what I've read on the boards supervised PT is only if there is abuse, typically physical or sexual. Substance may play much less of a role.
Supervised is highly unlikely in normal circumstances. Suck it up and pray that he becomes a better parent. Or that he gets a GF to help.

Thanks for the response Newly.
That is pretty much what I was afraid of. I guess I need to stay married until my kids get older. There is no way I could live with myself if something happened to them. Right now the way things are the kids are with me 24/7 and if I have to go somewhere mine or his family will care for them. It is sad, but I guess that is just the way things have to be for awhile. I wish he would grow up and be a parent but I think that is unlikely. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="images/icons/frown.gif" />
