Well I have been out of the loop for the last four days. I went to my highschool reunion. A lot of people didn't show, which was upsetting. But it was nice to dress up and go out with my H. We haven't gone out alone since this happened, and hadn't been out alone since our anniversary last September. We got to see some old faces and just be ourselves. I can honestly say I didn't think about the OW/OC mess once. We both graduated together so we were able to be there and yet mingle with our separate old friends. I am glad I went, getting out of the house and feeling like my old self was worth it.
We still haven't heard anything on the job. And I am trying to prepare some kind of a defense if we ever hear about an appeal, it is going on five months with no word of any kind.
I hope all of you are hanging in there. I will start writing tomorrow to everyone again. Sorry I wasn't there for everyone this past weekend.
babstr.

babstr- welcome back! your advice was missed here! glad that you had some fun at your reunion!! i can't wait to go to one of mine. it sounds so fun. glad you got a chance to not think about OW/OC, i think a good break from them is needed. i am planning one for us soon. we certainly need it, and the rule will be no mentioning of the OW/OC. easy for my H, but will be hard for me. but it will have to be, or we won't have any fun. good luck with the appeal stuff.
happy_girl

Babstr:
I'm so glad you got dressed up and spent an evening with your husband at the reunion. I bet you looked sensational...and spouse noticed.
We all forget to do special things with our spouses when we get caught up in all these dramas, and life in general. The every day grind of martgages, kids, errands, bills, and dopey mundane things seem to suck the romance and the heat from the marriage.
On August 3rd, david and I are going out of town for my aunt's birthday party. I made reservations at a B & B instead of a Days Inn. It's going to cost nearly three times more than a Days Inn, and we can ill afford it...but, then, we can't afford NOT to. I am so looking forward to that weekend.
I hope all of you here will take at least one weekend this summer to plan a getaway for just the two of you.
Renew, refresh, regroup...romance...
Catnip =^^=
