It's been forever since I last posted, so I thought I'd give an update for any of those interested.
The DNA results came back approx. 2 weeks ago. The OC is H's. H is still in contact with OW quite a bit. She still confesses her love for him, hangs all over him, etc.
H and I are through. I've decided that I've had plenty enough and that staying in the marriage was not in the best interest of any of us. The fighting and bickering never seem to cease. I can't see myself coming to peace with this OC thing anytime in the near, even distant, future.
The part I've left out for quite awhile is that H and I have actually been divorced since January of this year, so actually he's been my ex-H for quite awhile. Even though we've been divorced for quite sometime, we were really trying to work things out and put our marriage back together.
I've been living with my parents for a little over a month now. Things seem to be going better for both of us. Ex-H works a ton of hours, but has been visiting with our daughter on his day off. I feel more at peace with myself. I've been able to stop thinking about this situation 24/7, and think that this was what was best for our family. Ex-H and I have been getting along fairly well. The OC issue was one of many that brought he and I to this decision.
Anyhow, I wish everyone here on this board the best of luck. And I truly appreciate all of the wonderful advice many of you have given.
TTMF,
It's good to hear from you. I'm sorry that you weren't able to work things out with your H (XH). Having an OC involved is a very difficult situation. I can certainly understand not being able to cope with it. I'm glad to hear that you sound at peace with your decision. I wish you all the best in the future.
Take care,
Audrey
